Delightful or not?
I was trying my hand on today’s card layout for most of the day. It just didn’t come out right. First it took me a while to think of a set to use dry embossing on vellum on. I want to show that along with regular dry embossing at my stamp camp this weekend. Then I couldn’t find the right colors, then the square in the center just didn’t work. I finally made the focal point a circle and layered it on a scalloped circle. I am still not sure about it, but that’s how it’s going to be.
It’s hard to see, but I paper pierced around the flower and on the vanilla vertical strip. I also used the distressing tool to distress the edges of the celery and vanilla strip. Over the vanilla print pattern I stamped the background circles from “Delight in life” stamp set. That doesn’t show on the photo.
I was itching to use the new spiral punch. I had it for three full days now. I am not sure if it’s the right place, but I couldn’t wait any longer. I HAD to use it on this card. LOL
