Happiness: Good Friends, family, summer at the beach, creating with rubber stamps

And I thought yesterday’s challenge was challenging…..

Julia is making us use Glorious green today in her “Ways to Use it” Challenge. That was definitely a challenge. I wouldn’t mind if that color would retire and never EVER surface again. I just don’t use it. EVER!!!! But Julia made me. Here is what I came up with.

silly-sealife-gloriously-green.jpg I first try to pair glorious green with pixie pink. But boy oh boy did that bring that nasty green out. I had to scrap that idea right away. After that I tried to find a way to TONE IT DOWN.

Stamps: Silly Sealife, Amazing to Zany, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, You make me Happy (I love that thin saying that comes with set. It’s in the upcoming spring mini catalog)

Inks: Black Stazon, Taken with Teal classic ink

Paper: Taken with Teal, Glorious Green, Basic Black, Whisper White Cardstock, Loves me Designer paper ( I will miss that when it retires the end of this month)

Acc.: 1 1/4″ and 1 1/2″ circle punch, coluzzle to round tab, spiral punch (love this new punch!!!! Available in spring mini catalog), black gingham ribbon, watercolor pencils and blender pen, sponge

Valentine’s day is drawing close!

I promised one of my kids teacher to design a Valentine’s day card for her one year old daughter to give to family. I thought Cambria Turnbow’s trifold card would be perfect for that.

Take a piece of 4″ x 11″ cardstock. Score at 3 1/2″ and 7″. Fold. Punch a window in the middle panel. Layer the whole thing on a 4 1/4″ square.

The empty spot is for a photo of the little girl.

Stamps: Sweet on You, Very Punny, Hot do dot wheel, Toucan of my Love (retired), Just Saying

Inks: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose Classic ink, White ink cartridge

Paper: Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip cardstock, Love me Designer paper

Acc.: Marvy Urchida square scallop punch, 1 1/4″ and 1 3/8″ circle punch, slot punch, 1 3/8″ square punch, Flirty Ribbon, aqua painter, white gel pen

I like how it turned out. I might have to make a few cards for Rebecca to send to her grandparents and aunts and uncles. LOL
