Quick magazine case….or so I thought
About two weeks ago I about The Creating Keepsake special Issue: Easy Patterns for Scrapbooking. I love the layout ideas for the pages, as well as cards in there. One particular jumped out at me and I thought I case it really quick with Stampin’ Up! products.
The paper was picked pretty quickly, since I am in love with the new Petals and Paisley Designer paper. ThenI tried to sew the border. First, my machine was out of batteries. Then my LCD screen of my Pfaff didn’t show anything anymore. I changed the settings without seeing what I was doing and checked it on scrap paper until I had it the way I wanted. I guess I will have to find a Pfaff dealer here in the area now.
As you can see in the photo, I played around with several circle colors and sizes before settling on the yellow background paper with teal backing. The flight dots are first free hand pierced then enhanced with black journaling marker. The saying and dragonfly are from the You Make me Happy stamp set from the spring mini catalog.

Love the card you made Beate! I just bought that magazine & haven’t even had a chance to look at it. My best friend bought it & told me I had to get it. Now I can’t wait to sit down & browse through it & get creative! I love your idea of using the black marker to go over the pierced holes - Genius!!
Happy Stampin’,

Beate,
I like your color combo better. Love the orange/yellow on the circle under the dragonfly. It makes everything ‘POP’.
