Happiness: Good Friends, family, summer at the beach, creating with rubber stamps

Friday, sweet Friday

I will skip today’s challenge. I want to stamp invitations for my downline meeting in San Antonio. We will be going back home for a week at the end of March during our kids spring break! I can’t wait to go back to San Antonio and see my sweet stamping daughters, Jenn and Rick’s family again.

I knew the set I wanted to use was Office Accoutrement . I also knew I wanted to make this triangle trifold card. I will try to post a tutorial for this later. It’s easy and cute.

I started with a 3 1/2″ x 10 1/2″ strip of So Saffron. That was scored at 3 1/2″ and 7″. The two outer panel were scored diagonal and then folded over. Then I cut a 3 1/4″ piece of Notations Designer paper in half diagonally and taped one triangle on each fold over flap. I stamped the date stamp in chocolate on White cardstock, added the date in taken with teal marker and used the spiral punch on the left hand side. I punched a round tab with the tab punch and added important message. Three flowers were stamped on each in Cool Caribbean, So Saffron and Certainly celery.

I got my Adobe Photoshop Element program yesterday. I was so excited. So after I made this card, I tried it out. Of course I couldn’t figure it out by myself (Instructions you say? What’s that? Aren’t you supposed to ignore those and just play around?) I had to call sweet friend Jenn. She helped me out. Even with Jenn’s help it took me longer to resize and add the watermark my friend Beth Silaika designed, then to come up with this card. If you like the watermark and would like one of your own, Beth can design them for you. Check her new blog Freckled Fun! She also designs Blog Banners.
