Today’s challenge was super easy for me. Sunday’s relatively new challenge always features a fellow SCS stampers. The challenge is to case that person’s work, but to change at least two things. This week the featured Stamper is Kelly, aka. Atomicbutterfly. I love her work!

Here is the card I cased for my challenge card:  Lively Little ones.  I just loved the layout of this one. I am hooked on designer paper and I love square cards. So this one jumped right out of her gallery for me.

I started out with a 5 1/4″ square Regal Rose Card base. I added a 3/4″ strip of the yellow flower designer paper from the Petals & Paisleys pack on the top and paper pierced the bottom. Next I added a 2″ wide strip of Au Chocolat designer paper. The 3″ teal/caribbean square is from the Petals & Paisleys pack again.

All stamps are from Because of you and stamped with brown stazon. I colored the images in with Regal Rose,  Certainly Celery and So Saffron Markers. I added shadows around the flower with Cool Caribbean ink and the aqua painter.  The petals of the smaller flower are colored with white gel pen. I also added white highlights to the saffron flower.

The paperclip and the brad are from the Antique Brass hodgepodge hardware set.

invitation-all-piled-up.jpgAlthough I didn’t post anything new of my own yesterday, I was stamping. I just had to finish all my invitations. I made some extra, like I said earlier,  to use for birthday cards. This is what kept my busy yesterday.

Last time I went to Office Depot I bought some paper fastener. For a day or two, this little book made with the fastener was in my head now.

People that know me know I am rather forgetful. I don’t wanna be, but that’s just how it is. I need pads, lists and books to keep me on track. Since I started the SCS Blog RAK group, I send out several cards and received some as well. Well…I am not really sure to whom I send all those cards to. Isn’t that horrible? So I decided I needed a new book to keep track.

I started out with a 4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Certainly Celery cardstock. I scored that at 4″, 4 3/4″ and 5″. I lined the inside with the chocolate chip ruled paper from the Notations Designer paper and rounded the corners. The top part I lined with the Cool Caribbean patterned paper from the same pack and rounded the corners as well.

Next I stamped the Memo block  from Office Accoutrement on white cardstock in chocolate chip classic ink, cut it down to 2 3/4″ x 3 1/4″ and used the spiral punch on the top. I wrote Blog Friends with Typeset Upper Case Alphabet for the initials, the rest of the words with the Rough Edges Alpha set. I love that little Alpha!

I punched a celery tab with the new round tab punch and stamped Issue No. with chocolate chip craft ink. The number 1 is from the Classic Alphabet Numbers punched. It’s stamped in chocolate chip on whisper white and punched out with 1/2″ circle punch. I added some flowers with brads and some ribbon and the front was done.

For the inside I cut 3 3/8″ x 4 1/2″ pieces of white cardstock and scored them at 3/4″. I stamped the memo stamp in chocolate chip and the big flower in So Saffron. Here I will write down the names of my new blogging friends.

I had a great time making this book and really like how it came together! Have a wonderful Sunday! Here, the sky is blue, the sun is shining but we only have temperatures in the high fifties today. Needless to say I won’t be seen much outside. LOL

Can you believe it? I got more RAKS!!!! I feel so blessed.  I had an incredible week!

The first one came from Karleen Bakke. I participated in a VSN over this weekend with her. She made this amazing Bella card.

The other card I got in the mail yesterday is from Terri Thill, a fellow SCS member that is also in the Bloggers RAK group.  Thank you so much Terri! Please check out her blog territweety. Again, if you are a blogger and you are on Splitcoaststampers, apply for membership at the RAK group. Approval is only done biweekly, so be patient with the moderator. Once you are accepted, sign up for the special blogger group.

Terri, I love your card!!!! Terrie used a Bashful Blue card base and stamped Canvas on it with bashful blue. I think she fingerwalked the background. Then she sponged the edges in chocolate chip. For the background of the chicken she used the background stamp from Looks like Spring in chocolate chip. The chicken is colored in with chocolate chip and bashful blue markers. It’s from the stamp set Best of Cluck!

Thank you so much girls…..I love them both! I better start stamping more RAKs. LOL
