Trifold with MTF stamps

I stamped another trifold. This time with a cute mouse from My Favorite Things. I had the mouse in the house for a while now and it was time to get her all dirty. This trifold is like Cami’s trifold, but with different measurements and without the slit punch. It will fit in one of the small open ended envelopes Stampin’ Up! sells.

I stared with a 6 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ piece of Pretty in Pink Cardstock. I scored at 3 1/2″ and 7″.  I then added a 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of saffron designer paper with white circles from the Spring Flower pack. I thought it would go good with this card. I layered a chocolate chip scallop circle over it and cut a circular window out with my Coluzzle.

Here is how the inside looks like:

I stamped the mouse in Brown Stazon on Whisper White and colored the image in with So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate chip and Brocade blue and my aqua painter. I then layered it on a piece of chocolate cardstock and taped it down. Since MFT stamps are clear, you can bend the image on your acrylic block to shape them not just in a straight line. That’s what I did with my greeting on the front.

I tied the card shut with ribbon. and taped a little cheese that I had colored and punched out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch underneath.

I really like this cute set. It also comes with a cow and three sayings. I will have to use that next.

Doodle That BIGGER IS BETTER

I love long cards. This one is 4″ x 8 1/2″ and fits in a business size envelope. I cased my Very Punny Frog card. The original layout was from my downline Christi, who send me a gorgeous New Year card with her family pictures in the little squares.

I really enjoyed making the last card and decided to make another one with the same set and limited color. I finally broke open my Primas. They are soooo pretty! But I had a hard time finding matching SU paper.

Again I used the flourish from Doodle That to stamp tone in tone on Blush blossom cardstock. I then highlighted it with the white gel pen. The card base is Cameo Coral. The saying is from the stamp set Warm Words.  The hearts are stamped with Black Stazon on Whisper White, colored with Blush Blossom and Cameo Coral and aqua painter and then punched out with the 1 1/4″ square punch.

Doodle That Trifold Cami style!

I love the trifold card Cambria Turnbow created back last year. Cami is a good online friend of mine. I LOVE her work and adore her as a person! Last year she came up with the cutest fold!!!! Debbie Olson’s version of her card was later featured in On Stage. Here is my newest version. I will eventually write a tutorial for it.

Back in my stamping Slump days, Emily posted a great Color Combo (CC95): Whisper White, Cool Caribbean and Basic Black. That’s what I used for this card.

You start out with a 4″ x 11″ piece of cardstock. I used Cool Caribbean. Score at 3 1/2″ and 7″. Fold up and punch a window in the middle panel. I used the 1 3/8″ square punch. I took a scrap piece of black cardstock and punched another 1 3/8″ square in the center. Then I used my Marvy scallop square punch to punch around it and make this frame.

I stamped the flourish stamp from Doodle That scattered all over the center panel in Cool Caribbean ink. Then I highlighted the flowers, the dots and the swirls of that stamp with the white gel pen. I stamped the heart of Doodle That in black on another white marvy scallop square and colored it in with Cool Caribbean and layered that on a 2″ square of black cardstock.

I love the new white May Arts organdy ribbon I got from Starlitstudio! It looks so pretty! Off I go…maybe I get the tutorial finished today. Folds are  easier shown then explained, at least for me.

Have a wonderful day! Here we have another gorgeous spring day. The sun is shining, the flowers blooming and we have close to 70 degrees.
