What plants do you love to have/grow in your yard?

For me that’s easy. I fell in love with the amethyst plumbago , multicolored Lantana as well Oleander and Esperanza’s in San Antonio.  To make Florida feel more like home we did plant Plumbago and those Lantanas last weekend in our front yard. I can’t wait for them to get big and bushy.

Tough Challenge today

I almost chickened out of today’s challenge. Jen wants us to use only a one layer card and only one sentiment stamp. Nothing else but embellishments. No cuttlebug either! This was super hard. I am not sure about this card. But at least I can say I tried, right? I figure that’s how I get out of my comfort zone and grow as a stamper.

When I first read the challenge I was thinking Faux Layers, but then there were already a lot of Faux layer cards in the gallery. Jeanne Streiff made a gorgeous sample with Direct to Paper over the entire card. I wanted to try something different and started out with a big old ribbon from the Prep School ribbon pack. I added three black brads from the vintage pack on each side to hold it in place.

The sentiment I used is the Thank you saying from the set In My Thoughts. I stamped the verse that would go on the inside of the card on top of two Office Supply store tags. Then I just inked up Thanks so much and added it it the bottom right of the card.

The ribbon on the left tag is also from the Prep School ribbon kit, the black ribbon is gorgeous May Arts ribbon from Starlitstudio. The Prima flower is also from Cindy’s store. The flower is topped by a ruby Red button that I threaded the thin ribbon from the Prep School Ribbon.

Now I better go and stamp a card that I really like and add it to the blog so this is not all the way on top! LOL

Another Double challenge

I made this card last night. But it was too dark to take a picture.

I did the same Ways to use it challenge, but a different layout from Amy Westerman’s  Super Sketch Challenges. This one is #4.

I apologize fo always using the Petals & Paisley Designer paper. I will switch soon I promise. I ordered gorgeous paper from both Starlitstudio  as well as Eclectic Paperie  . I can’t wait to get my hands on some Basic Grey and Crate paper. I know I am a bit late to jump on that. But I just got over my “using non SU product guilt”. LOL Now I want all those gorgeous products out there!

For this card I used the Flower die cut from Cuttlebug again and covered them with Petals & Paisley designer paper.  I added a strip of different paper from that pack on the right hand side of my chocolate chip card and topped it with a greeting from the Spring mini Off The Chart  stamp set from Stampin’ Up!.

I added a little Stampin’ Up! ribbon on the bottom, some Starlitstudio brads in the center of the flower and my Thank you card was done!
