Yesterday I went shopping to Scrapbook Heaven with Jenn Balcer, my bestest friend. We had so much fun in the store. I forgot my camera, but Jenn took some pictures as I went crazy over some paper. Check This post on her blog.  Today we go to her house to stamp….or so we say. We hardly ever stamp when we are together….something else always comes up. Like shopping….or just hanging out and chatting. I am sure I will oohhh and ahhhh over her newly arranged stamp room. I just can’t wait!

Tomorrow we are heading back to Florida. I don’t wanna say home, because we all feel our home truly is here in San Antonio. We can’t wait to move back (even if it that is only wishful thinking. I do whisper “Get out of the military” in Rick’s ear every night when he is asleep. LOL).

  1. I saw Jenn’s post! TOO TOO FUNNY..you two remind me a lot of my friends and I. You should see my mom and I in Archivers! It’s like in my head of course, you hear a heavenly hymn when I walk in. I can’t wait to see what you two make! Or what you guys hang out and talk about! Alrighty..drive back to Florida safely! I hate that you have to go already!!!

  2. You and Jenn are like Peas and Carrots (you are meant to go together). Sorry for throwing one of those weird American saying at you again. 🙂 So glad you were able to visit and spend time with your friend.

  3. So happy for you to able to spend time with a terrific friend (I’m heading over to check Jenn’s blog now). I love the subliminal messages you are sending to Rick. Too funny…and I hope it works! 😉

  4. That post just made me giggle girl. You are just too much. I know how you feel about going home. Oh can I understand. Enjoy every minute at HOME. Be safe going home. All the pics have been wonderful.

  5. What a fun trip you had. I am so happy for you! There is nothing quite like the feel of fresh, uncut paper from the store. I was loving some at the local store here the other day. Glad to know I am not alone~LOL

  6. It sounds like you had a great time – how nice to be able to hang out with your bestest buddy 🙂 I know what you mean about not being *home* – we have lived in 14 different places in the last 23 years courtesy of the Navy. BUT retirement is in the very near future and home we go!!! Thanks for sharing – I visit your blog everyday – Kimberly has gotten me HOOKED – LOL! Take care. Alex

  7. wow, it looks like you had SOOO much fun! Love all your new paper!

  8. Isn’t it great to have friends like that? I just went shopping Wed/Thurs/Fri and hit about 5 different stores and have to say I know what it is like to want to get up close and personal with paper. I had to touch ALL of it, smell it and just get to know it before I decided to take in on a long trip home. What fun you must have had together!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

P.S. I know what it is like to want to be “home”. We have been posted 2 times in the last 4 years and are counting on getting home during our next posting. I just keep whispering my location of choice in the middle of the night hehe…

  9. What great pictures of you and your friend shopping. So much fun spending the day shopping with a friend and especially for paper. You can never have too much paper. I’m really enjoying your blog. Thanks for sharing your fun. Dottie

  10. I saw Jen’s post too and your stroking of the paper was hilarious, it reminded me of me, lol. You were bad, bad girls, looks like you spent loads!
    Have a safe journey “home”.

  11. Beate did you take an extra suitcase for your loot?!? LOL!!! I loved the pics!!

  12. I know what you mean about not being able to call your new state “home” yet. We moved to GA last August, after spending all our married life (16 years) in the same house in the same town in IL. It’s nice to be able to go back to where you feel most comfortable, and be so warmly embraced by friends. Safe travels…

  13. It is wonderful to see someone else that would understand how my sister and I act in Archiver’s. We easily loose two or three hours in there! TFS.

  14. I went to my first Archievers on the way home from the Atlanta Regionals. Now we are hooked and need to make another trip in the near future. Loved Jens pictures of you lovingly holding the paper. Know what you mean about missing home. It’s hard being in the military sometimes. Glad you had a nice visit with your pal Jen.

  15. I like it very much, thank you
