I so love the square cards! altho right now I am having fun making the wallet cards. even made one for prom tonight to give away and we are working till 3 AM as volunteers. I have been mostly doing the regular size cards but have started trying different styles. I have been using the long notes from SU, but have started loving the square and want to try some with folds. I am always looking for something new to try…

I’m partial to the traditional 4 x 5.5 card since they can be made so easily and don’t cost anything extra to send. But I love experimenting with sliders and card with windows.

I can’t pick just one favourite! I think right now my favourite is the square card. I just need to practice getting the design right - I’m used to thinking of A2 size. Congrats on the rising numbers!

I think I would have to say that my favorite card type is a waterfall cards. I love how they move, so simple, but such a “wow” factor. How did you get so many hits? Its amazing!

I’d have to say that I really love 3×3 square cards, they are so quick & easy to make but for some reason I always return to the same quarter sheet style…I always try to remind myself to break out of that habit!

I stick with the “traditional” quarter fold card. Probably alot of it is that there is no “waste” and it is a easy cut & score.

Wow, congrats on your blog’s success! I have to say I’m also partial to square cards, especially 4×4 ones. They’re cute, fun, easy to work with, yet big enough to put a nice design on them.

My current favorite card style is the 3 x 6 featured in the SS froma month or two ago (or maybe three….). It’s a nice size.

My favorite card is probably a traditional 4.25 by 5.5, but I’ve been making a lot of triangle tri-folds since I first saw them on your blog. In fact, I am making some for a swap I’m headed to in a couple of weeks! I love trying fun new folds!

It’s too hard to just pick one card type! Lately I’ve been loving 3 1/2 X 5 size cards. Cute but not too small - plus it’s easy to find envelopes that size.

So hard to decide… I am still working out the kinks on the tri-fold (keep not lining up right), liked the square card, but people are always impressed by the slider… hard to choose, hard to choose…

Hmmmm, no I don’t think I have a favorite, except just a regular size. Not very creative is it? LOL! Unusual size cards scare me! In fact, I’ve done my first square card within the last month! I have recently tried a square tri-fold card and LOVED it! (Gave it to DH for his birthday!)

It seems like I’ve been making more and more 5 1/2″ square cards lately, but my preferred is standard size folded from the top, so I can easily tie ribbon around the top or the bottom.

I guess I’m old fashioned. My favorite type of card is still the 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 format. I’ve experimented with some of the folded formats, for example the diagonal tri-fold and the tea or goodie pouch tri-fold and enjoy these for special occasions.

I seem to make the standard card size out of habit, but I do like the square cards. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity. I always look forward to see your artwork, helpful tips and tutorials.

Can I say your cards are my favorite kind of cards *wink*?? LOL I would have to say any sort of fun fold card that still ends up being A-2 in size. That way you have the fun and don’t have to buy special envelopes. Congrats on your blog…it is wonderful!

Gate fold cards are my favorite, but the triangle trifold you designed is right up there. Taught gals to make it today at a stamp camp, and it was very well received!

I really like the small 3 x 6 size cards they showed at convention last year! I’ve been doing those more and more for something a little different!

Standard, quarter page cards are, of course, the easiest for me from a cutting and paper scrap perspective… But there’s nothing like changing the orientation (so it opens along the short rather than the long end) for a little variety… Square cards and business letter size are also too cool… And unique folds… Too hard to choose!

My current favorite is the buckle card. I finally tried them last week, and am loving it! I taught it to a group of stampers last night and they all loved it too! I have a swap to do this week too and I’m playing with a buckle layout.

Beate, I just joined the SU demonstrator family and have been a SU and SCS fan for a while now. Your enthusiasm, creativity and hard work inspire me. I, too, am an Air Force wife and I love travelling around the world meeting wonderful friends. I look forward to helping women all over the place. I like cards with lots of layers-I just finished one with 7 not including the image. And I added eyelets too. Stamping away stress at 4AM. I dont like square ones as the postage is too much. As long as I dont mail them, they are fine.

I like the look of square cards….but I’m too cheap to make anything but the traditional sized cards (have tons of that sized envelopes).

Congrats on 125000!! I usually stick with traditional sized cards, altough I make a few long/tall cards from time to time.

I love pocket cards bc they are so much fun ….you can include anything in the pocket..a greeting, a bookmark, a photo. Love your blog beate!

I have to say my favorites have become the square cards as well. Just somthing about them make them stand out to me. I also have enjoyed making the trifold cards although I still have a problem with the darn measurements…one of these days I’ll get them!

Fresh and Fun Freebies……what a great name!!! My fave card right now has got to be the long cards. It used up more cardstock and paper, but heck, it’s not like I’m short on it!! Bwahahahaaaa!

I love all sorts of novelty cards. They are fun to make; they are different and everyone enjoys receiving them. Right now, I am “into” spinner cards…easy and fun to make.

Congratulations Beate! I like square cards although I don’t make many of those (because of the extra postage for the square envelopes). However, recently I saw a post in someone’s blog on how to modify your rectangular envelope so that your square card isn’t “dancing” inside. I think that’s convinced me to do more square cards! I would have to say my favorite would be anything tiny and/or unique. For some reason anything on the tiny side just tends to be cuter.

I love square cards, although when I’m in a hurry forget to make them since the standard 4-1/4 X 5-1/2 cuts so easily. I also love making the unusual fold ones or anything that make the card a little unusual. I love the various tutorials you have written to help expand my selection. I adore square cards most…. I just find them so much easier to work with. But I have to admit, I usually make them only to find I don’t have an envelope to match!

My fav type would be square or the size that fits the Sm Open-end envelopes - just something different than the regular sized cards. I like the special fold-type cards, but never seem to get them to look right. Congrats on the milestone hits!

I love square cards! My wedding invitations were even square. I particularly like 5″ square cards. Seem to be the perfect size, a little more room to play than an A2 and 6″ square cards seem a little too big to fill up. I love your blog, I visit everyday. I really appreciate that you post something everyday and I LOVE your toots!

Other than the standard card - my favorite type would be a bigger 4×6 card or a square card.

Way to go Beate! I’m with you on the square cards, wish the envelopes for them were a little more economical.

My favorite shape of card is definitely square, but being that it costs more to send with a matching envelope and the fact that I’m now a SU demonstrator and can get 2 cards out of one sheet of carstock if I use the standard size, I rarely make them. Thanks for the goodies!

I love square cards… but they can be trifolds…or other surprize types… designing for a square is just plain fun, and I found someone who showed how to tape a “normal” envelope to use as a square and avoid that extra postage… now the envelope for a square card is so much fun! Definitely the square~

All of these wonderful opportunities to win Blog Candy. I haven’t had the nerve to try a blog yet. Seems like it would be very time consuming for me at this time of my life. But I especially love to read all of them and have gotten so many wonderful ideas from all of the bloggers. I love fancy fold cards. I think my favorite unsual card was a waterfall card once I mastered it.

My favorite sized card is a square card. It is so easy to either use a traditional evenly spaced image or an off-center one.

However, to be truthful, my favorite size is probably whatever I am working on at the time!

i personally enjoy regular square card, havent done too many folding of any kind, except for a photo album box thingy i did once. well im not sure if the contest Freebie thing is over but i would like to be added to the drawing. Im new to this so please if anyone has anyt tips on how I enter the freebies or how to make my own blog site i would love that…
