Sharon Harnist, Lori Craig and I decided last week that we want to do a weekly challenge together. I send Stampendous bee images out to them Saturday morning. Lori got hers on Tuesday, but poor Sharon still got NOTHING.

Today we decided not to wait any longer. I asked them if they wanted to work with the sketch I posted earlier. The only thing we all will use besides the sketch are the new Palette Prints designer paper from Stampin’ Up! The bee challenge will be posted next week.

Here is my card for this challenge:

The image stamp are from Stampin’ Up!’s Flower Filled set, the saying from Because of You. I really like both sets. Both are on the Retirement list. 🙁

I inked up the boots with Apricot Appeal classic ink and outlined it with the Close to Cocoa Marker. I also added little cocoa dots on the stamp, huffed and stamped it on Shimmery White cardstock. This is my poor substitute for the Paper Trey stamps, that I don’t own yet.

Next I stamped the stems in Certainly Celery. The flowers were stamped with Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose and Amethyst Appeal. I punched a large oval out of a post it note and used the left over post it note to sponge the green oval underneath the boots. Next I used Bordering blue and aqua painter to add shadow to the left hand side of the images.

I paper pierced the top two corners and layered the shimmery white cardstock onto sponged close to cocoa cardstock.

The flowers punched out of Regal Rose and Close to Cocoa cardstock.  I sponged them both to make the color look richer. The center of the flowers is a Apricot Appeal Brad.

I used a cuttlebug die cut to create the ribbon buckle. I layered it on sponged close to cocoa cardstock and cut around it with my decorative scissors. Lastly I ran a piece of white organdy ribbon through the buckle and tied it on the right hand side with a bow. I heated the bow to age it a bit.

I can’t wait what the other two girls come up with . I thought for sure I would be the last one finishing the card. I had to go and get my son from school (missed the bus….long story) and drive him to his friends house for a birthday party. Then I had to rush home to pick up Rebecca from school. She usually walks home with her brother. But Lucas is on a field trip today and doesn’t come home until five.

Four more school days and it’s summer break here! The kids can’t wait!
