Pick a Petal Funky style

It was harder then I thought making a flower with those petals. I think next time I stamp and cut the petals out before putting them together to make a flower.

This card started out with a 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ Cool Caribbean piece of cardstock folded in half, layered with a 5″ square of black cardstock and a piece of 4 3/4″ white cardstock. On the white cardstock I used the ticket corner punch on all four corners.

For the main image I stamped the Polka Dotted Petal six times to make the flower. I just eyeballed it and my trashcan could tell you that I needed several tries. It was too light looking so I outlined it with my black Micron Pen 03. Once I was done I cut around the petals with my decorative scissors.

The flower center is stamped in Black stazon with the solid round stamp provided in the Pick a Petal stamp set. I doodled little half circles around it, punched it out with the 3/4″ circle punch and adhered it in the center of the flower.

I traced a grosgrain ribbon spool to make the basic black layer and cut one end off. Then I doodled around the edges and added the flower in the center.

Next I stamped the outline flower center from Pick a Petal three times in black on Cool Caribbean and cut it out. Then I used the Punch from the Three for you Punch box to make little Black and Caribbean flowers. the black flowers have white centers drawn with the white gel pen (we NEED white brads) and the black Caribbean flowers sport some black brads from the vintage collection.

Last I added the saying from Sweet Shapes and doodled on the border of the white cardstock.
