Oh where, oh where did my UPS man go? Oh where, oh where could he be?
While I am waiting for the UPS man to show….who has obviously not been here yet, I was doing laundry and making dinner. That way…when the boxes finally get here, I won’t have to be bothered with that kind of stuff. LOL
Julee Tilman at Poetic Artistry posted this great sketch:
I thought I try that out while I wait. Anything to kill time. Freaking UPS man! It’s second day air! In San Antonio, they brought those boxes early! Not here though…..I guess in Florida people take things slow…
I started out with a regular sized chocolate chip card base. I layered a 4″ x 5 1/4″ olive piece of Petals & Paisley Designer paper on top of that. I used the ticket corner to punch each corner. I am excited this paper is still in the catalog. I love it.
I punched out two chocolate chip tabs with the window word punch, adhered them on my designer paper and added brads from the vintage assortment.
The pretty in pink designer paper from the Petals & Paisley pack measures 2″ x 5 1/4″. I added a layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock underneath and and punched the scallop border with my retired corner punch.
The saying and image are from the Fun & Fast Notes stamp set. I stamped the cup in Brown Stazon on watercoloring paper and colored it in with aqua painter and these classic ink pads: Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Bordering blue.
I ran white organdy ribbon (I can’t believe we don’t carry that anymore…sniff, sniff) around the horizontal layer and adhered the main image on the strip with dimensionals.
The saying and the image come from two different stamps. But since I mounted the saying separately from the images, mixing and matching images with sayings is NO problem!

Okay, so I just have to share my funny UPS story. I live in a small town with just one UPS man that delivers unless Eric is on vacation. Well, last year around this time, I would stand on my front step, waiting for him to stop with my new catty stuff. He would wave and kind of look sorrowfully at me, “like sorry, nothing today.” Well about a week after I had gotten all my stuff, I went to get sandwiches at Subway for lunch and happened to get in line behind Eric. He happened to look behind himself and see me, and he said quickly, taking a step back “I DON’T HAVE ANYTHING FOR YOU TODAY.” Cracked me up, poor guy, like I’m a stalker!

I can’t wait for UPS to come either! He (or she, sometimes it’s a female) is supposed to bring my new stuff tomorrow. But I hate it because they don’t usually come by my house till 5 or 6pm. I’m getting the word window punch and the scallop punch, so I’m so excited to play with those!

You are hysterical! I am laughing so hard! I love this card and the layout! With all these great sketches, one should never produce a bad card….so what’s wrong with me?

gosh darnit! you did it again! I wasn’t really going to get this set, but kept going back and forth about it… now I think it’s definitely on my “get” list! brilliant idea about separating the images from the sentiments… uber-versatile that way!
