Stephanie is stamping with me

My downline and friend Stephanie is over helping me get my stamps dirty! Here is her first creation. I might have to case it. You can see more of her work in her SCS gallery.

She has caught the square card bug and seems to tend to go back to square card bases all the time.

Stephanie’s card base is a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Taken with Teal Cardstock. She wheeled it in Teal with the So Swirly Jumbo wheel.

She used Define your Life and Ginormous Flowers for her image and saying. The other colors she used were Groovy Guava, Purely Pomegranate and Wild Wasabi. The Jewel Brad is from the Circle Ice Brad collection. This looks soooo pretty in real life!

I am so happy

I am so happy I have all these new products. I have to admit, it was a bit daunting to pick a set and work with it.They are all so pretty. And, after punching two scallops my scallop circle it is messed up. I will have to call Stampin’ Up!

But not before I post my first card made with new merchandise. I made a joyfold card that has a different center fold part.

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 7 1/4″ Certainly Celery piece of cardstock that I scored at 4 1/4″. I layered a 3″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Certainly Celery Prints Designer paper over the flap and added a scalloped border punched with the new corner punch behind the flap.

The Black Center flap is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 2 3/4″. I layered a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Groovy Guava over that. I had wheeled it with the So Swirly Jumbo Wheel in Groovy Guava and sponged the edges.

The saying is from the gorgeous new Define your Life set. I am so excited we have definition stamps. That’s soooo cool!!! I used the happy definition and stamped it in Black Stazon on Shimmery White cardstock.

Next I pulled out Priceless. I am in love with the look of this new set and can’t wait to stamp more with it. I stamped the flower twice in Purely Pomegranate and once in Groovy Guava and cut them out. I adhered them with dimensionals on top of my saying.

The closure is a Purely Pomegranate punchout with the Scallop Punch (before it locked up on me), sponged the edges, layered it with a 1 3/8″ black circle punch, which was layered with a 1 1/4″ circle of shimmery white. I had stamped Happy from It’s all Good in groovy guava before punching it out.

To finish it off I added a 1/2″ strip of black cardstock and ran the new and deliciously gorgeous double stitched Pomegranate ribbon over it.

He came late, but with big packages!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My UPS man finally arrived sometime after 6 p.m. I was so excited and oohhhed and aaahhhed over all my new ribbon, paper and punches.

Then I went to work cutting, cutting and more cutting. I would have to say the drawback of big orders is that you have to cut a LOT of stamps. My hands hurt but I am almost done!

Now….which set should I use first? I have too many new ones to choose from. Maybe I close my eyes and pick one. Stephanie, my downline here in town, is coming over later so we can stamp together! I hope I can come up with some cute samples for you all.

Now…where is that ice for my sore hands.

The RAK ball is back in my court. Teresa sent me this wonderful Gate fold card. Her Guava/Chocolate color combo is simply delicious. You can find more of her wonderful work at her blog Inkfully Yours.
