Here is my #10th Weekend Sketch Challenge:

pp060732.jpg

I found this layout in the June 2007 Paper Craft  issue (I think).

This weekend, I will raffle away a new unopened spool of narrow black organdy ribbon. I am still in shock that we don’t carry organdy ribbon anymore. I LOVE the white one.

To enter the raffle: Make a card with the sketch and post it somewhere online (on your blog, on SCS or on another website). Then add a link to your card as a comment to this post. Every card entry is one raffle entry.

I will pick a winner next Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Random.org.

Here is my first sample with this sketch:

ginormous-flowers-weekend-s.jpg

My card started with a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Purely Pomegranate piece of cardstock. I sponged the edges and set it aside. Next I stamped Tres Chic in Pumpkin Pie on a piece of 4″ x 5 1/4″ Pumpkin Pie cardstock, sponged the edges in Pumpkin Pie and taped it on to my Pomegranate card base.

The center panel is made of three layers. The top layer is a 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Certainly Celery Prints Designer paper. Next is a piece of 2 3/4″ x 4″ piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock that was sponged with Wild Wasabi around the edges. The last layer is a piece of 3″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Purely Pomegranate Cardstock that was sponged in the same tone as well.

The flowers are from the Ginormous Flower stamp set. I stamped them in Purely Pomegranate and Pumpkin Pie. The bigger flowers are punched out with the Five Petal Flower punch that is new in the catalog! I love it! The flower centers are half pearls from the Pretties Kit.

The saying is from Absolutely Fabulous. I stamped it in Purely Pomegranate on Shimmery White and punched it out with the large oval punch. I layered it on Purely Pomegranate and freehand cut it out. I paper pierced a line under that. Just because it needed something and Paper piercing can never be wrong! 🙂

The Delightful circle is stamped in Groovy Guava on shimmery White paper, punched out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch and layered on a 1 3/8″ Wild Wasabi circle punchout. The stamp is from the Stamp set It’s All Good. I just love to to say the name of that set. It’s all GOOOD. I think there was an SNL sketch about a long legged woman that alway said that. LOL

The ribbon is the new and wonderfully gorgeous double stitched Purely Pomegranate ribbon. I love all the new double stitched ribbon. It’s so pretty! I hope when these colors retire, we will get other colored double stitched ribbon.
