Yesterday evening my favorite brown truck brought me my Holiday Mini preorder. Rebecca pushed out all the die cut stamps out of the leftover rubber and I mounted them. I love how easy and fast the stamp assembly was. I LOVE die cuts and I am crossing my fingers that we will have all our stamps die cut in the next big catalog.

Anyway….one of my favorite stamp sets in the mini is True Friend. I had to use it right away for this weekend’s sketch.

I started with a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock scored at 5 1/2″ and 8 1/8″. On the tiny flap I stamped Linen in Wild Wasabi. Then I sponged all the edges in that tone as well.

Next I cut a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of River Rock cardstock and wheeled it with the Jumbo Wheel So Swirly and River Rock ink. I love that wheel!!! I taped the cardstock on the inside of my card and stamped my All in a Row Argyle stamp in Close to Cocoa on all four edges. Then I lined up the saying from True Friend on the bottom of the showing part of the inside of the card and stamped it in Close to cocoa.

I taped a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of the new Apple Cider Designer Paper (Loooove it!!!) on the left side of the card and added the All in the Row faux Stitching there as well. I marked 3/4″ from the top and bottom of the card, set my Crop-a-dile to 1/2″ and punched out 1/8″ holes. Then I threaded pieces of white Taffeta ribbon through them and tied a knot to keep the small flap connected to the left hand side.

I stamped the large swirl stamp from Priceless (I told you it’s one of my favorite, MUST have sets of this new catalog) in Close to Cocoa over the bottom part of the Designer paper. Next I stamped the small flower from True Friend in River Rock on Shimmery White cardstock, cut it out, added a vintage brad in it’s center and adhered over the stamped swirl with dimensionals.

The tab was made with the small oval punch out of Close to Cocoa cardstock. I stamped Linen over it and sponged the edges. then I cut 1/3″ of it off, stamped the Argyle stamp on the straight edge, adhered it with Mono and added two more vintage brads.

For the center image I stamped the Flower image from True Friend in Wild Wasabi on Shimmery White cardstock. I punched it out with the Mega oval punch from Marvy Uchida. Next I stamped the same flower with Really Rust on Shimmery White and cut out the flower part. I adhered it with dimensionals over my green flower and added a round Ice Jewel Brad in the center. The scallop was punched with the Giga Scallop Oval punch from Marvy Uchida. I stamped Linen in Close to cocoa over the punchout and sponged the edges with the same color.
