Weekend Sketch Challenge #13
Sorry this is a day late and a new sample short. I just didn’t get to stamp yesterday. I did decide on a layout though and made the sketch for it.
I saw this layout first in the 2005/2006 Stampin’ Up! idea book & catalog. Then a gorgeous sample from Julie Ebersole pushed me over the edge to try it myself. Here is my old sample as well as the sketch.
The sample was scanned and isn’t a great quality picture. What a difference 2 years make. I love taking sample pictures with my Canon Rebel XT in front of a window. I ususally set up a chair with a 12×12 piece of cardstock on it’s seat and another put up vertical against the back of the chair. I always set it to no flash. I like the pictures that come out so much better.
This weekend’s sketch challenge winner will receive the retired orange grosgrain ribbon from Stampin’ Up!. To participate in the challenge, make a card with the sketch shown and upload it on your blog or an online gallery like splitcoaststampers.com. Then come back here and add a link to your card in the comment section of this post.
I will pick a winner with random.org on Thursday morning. I made it a day longer since I post this a day late.

What! You have the Rebel XT?! Yaaahoooooo! I’m with you … I love using natural light … it’s the best! (But,Ms. Guru of all things crafty, I could use a wee little nudge on getting my glitter to show up in the pics!) And yes .. I do love this sketch!! Yay!

This is my 12yo DD’s sketch challenge entry. She wanted it to be very clean lined and simple. She made it for her grandma’s birthday and yellow is my mom’s favorite color. I think she did a great job. Thanks for the great challenges that not only get me stamping but also my daughter.
