Awesome color challenge today
You know I am all over today’s color challenge on SCS! Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou and Sahara Sand. If it has Chocolate chip in it, I know I will like it!
My card base is a 5 1/2″ x 6″ piece of chocolate chip cardstock scored at 3″.
The next layer is a 2 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Sahara Sand. On the bottom is a 2 1/4″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Blue Bayou Prints Designer paper.
Next I used my Argyle stamp from All in a Row with Chocolate Chip ink to add the faux stitching. I wrapped Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon around it and taped it to my card base.
I stamped the big flower stamp from the level 2 hostess set In the Spotlight on whisper white cardstock and punched it out with the scallop circle punch. The thank you from that set was stamped in chocolate chip and punched out with the 3/4″ circle punch.
I added a Jumbo brass eyelet in the center of my punched out flower image and taped it down with dimensionals. I added a dimensional to the thank you as well, added a brass brad and taped it slightly under the flower image.
For the greeting I stamped the Thank you from Fundamental Phrases in Chocolate chip on Whisper White and punched it out with the Window Word punch. I layered it on 1/2″ wide piece of chocolate chip and rounded the corner freehand. I taped it on and added another Brass brad to finish it off!
Later added:
I needed some thank you cards to send out, but didn’t want to send girls such a “manly” card. Here is the same card more girly. I used Certainly Celery instead of Sahara Sand and Rose Red instead of Blue Bayou. Off I go to mass produce. Hugs and smiles!
