Scrapbook Sunday #9: Our boys

wanted-handsome-boys.jpg

I made this scrapbook page with last week’s sketch.

I took these pictures two years ago when I first got my camera.

The boys still didn’t mind to get short hair cuts and they looked sooo much younger. I love those shots.

This page has the most brads I have ever put on a scrapbook page. LOL

The scrapbook page is 12″ x 12″ piece of Bordering Blue. The strip on the left side is Going Gray and Basic Gray cardstock.

The going gray cardstock was stamped with Tres Bien Background and Basic Gray ink.

The medaillon stamp and the star stamp are from Wanted.

Our boys was stamped with Collage Alpha, the other words with Simply Serif Alpha.

Another File Folder card

I made this card first, before I came up with the second one for the tutorial.

I made the sample for the tutorial and the tutorial while waiting for Austin and Rick to come back from the hospital. I just noticed that on the sample card, the tab is on the wrong side. I was freaking out a bit until I saw that I did it right for the card I made while taking pictures for the tutorial. Thank goodness. I thought I just all showed you the wrong way.

For this one I started out with a 5 1/2″ x 7 1/4″ piece of sponged Chocolate Chip cardstock.

I tend to sponge everything lately. I makes the colors deeper and richer. I just like that look!

The inside of the back was lined with a cut down 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of sponged Always Artichoke.

On the front I added a 1/4″ smaller piece of Dashing Designer paper.

I used the All in a Row Argyle to Faux Stitch all around both inside and out.

The flower is and the Thank you are both from the In the Spotlight hostess set.

My insert measures 3 1/2″ x 4″ and has three layers.

Sorry my description is rather short.

I have been spending all day with Austin.

He was in a lot of pain, but he was awake all day and the swelling of his face was gone. Thank you all for the well wishes. I really appreciate those.

He just went to bed and I am pooped. I did want to get this post ready for tomorrow morning though.

I really love how this card came out. I like the Fun& Fast notes card too, but I LOVE darker, rich colors I used for this one.

Thanks to everyone who sent a card to Victoria! Check Courtney’s blog for updates on Victoria, her mail days and how she is doing.

I will be offline most of today, sitting with Austin. He likes to play Video games with his Mom while he is not feeling well. Let’s just say he always wins. LOL

He is home!

Rick brought Austin home around 3:30 p.m.

They gave Austin Morphin after he woke up. Evidently his Adnoids were so big, they grew down into this throat. They had to cut a lot of stuff out. The doctor said he has never seen anything like it and he didn’t know how Austin was still breathing.

My poor baby is sitting on the couch now. He is so out of it and his face looks all swollen. But it’s done and the surgery went well. Now he just has to heal.

Thank you for your well wishes. I was a nervous wreck all morning. At least now see and check up on him!
