Pure Bronc Buster
I recently had a new customer order just the Bronc Buster set and the scallop punch. I don’t know how many other stamping supplies she has, so I tried to come up with a card that only used the Bronc Buster stamps. No other stamps and only a few accessories.
Being spoiled in having so many tools and designer papers ready at my fingertips, this wasn’t that easy.
I started out by making my center image first.
I stamped the star image twice in Chocolate Chip on Natural Ivory cardstock.
One was punched out with my 1 1/4″ circle punch.
The circle was sponged first with Really Rust and then Chocolate Chip.
From the second image I cut out the star, sponged it first in More Mustard, then in Really Rust and finally the edges with Chocolate Chip. The star was taped over the star on the circle punchout . I paper pierced a border on the inside edge of the Natural Ivory circle, and layered it on a sponged 1 3/8″ Really Rust circle followed by a sponged Chocolate Chip scallop circle. Last an Antique Brass brad was added in the center of the star.
The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock, folded in half and sponged on the front edges. Next was a 4″ square of Natural Ivory Cardstock. It was sponged first with Really Rust, then with Chocolate Chip. The bottom two corners were punched with the ticket corner punch. Last I added a very subtle background with the wind/swirl stamp in 4th generation Really Rust ink.
For the bottom part I took a 2″ x 4″ piece of Really Rust cardstock, punched the bottom corners with the Ticket corner punch, stamped the Bronc Buster on it twice in Really Rust and sponged the edges (first in Really Rust, then in Chocolate Chip).
Over the Rust cardstock is a 3/8″ x 4″ strip of sponged Chocolate Chip paper. I added Paper Piercing in the middle of the strip.
I stamped the greeting of that set in Chocolate Chip on Natural Ivory cardstock, cut around the one and only and sponged it first with Really Rust, then Chocolate Chip. I added what I thought were two Antique Brass brads, one on each end. (When you click on the picture to enlarge it, you see that I must have gotten a pewter brad by accident. And I already sent out the card. Big oops).
There you have it. One VERY limited card. One stamp set, 2 ink pads, three cardstock colors, one brad pack, one punch, paper piercing tools and sponges.
