Tough inspirational challenge

Yesterday’s Inspirational challenge was a tough one for me.  I don’t know why. I am not sure if I like waht I came up with either.

Our inspiration piece was this floral dress. I jotted down that I wanted to use a diagonal line (collar), scallops (end of sleeve) and this color combo:

Sage Shadow, Blue Bayou, Close to Cocoa and Pretty in pink.

I dug through my designer paper stash and found a strip of the Close to Cocoa polka dotted paper from the retired Love Me Designer paper. I knew I had to use that. I also knew I wanted to use Priceless again, to showcase how versatile it is. You can make fun cards, sympathy cards and even baby cards with it.

The card is a 4 1/2″ square. I will keep my post short, because I haven’t stamped at all today. My internet went down yesterday at noon and stayed down until this morning. I had a lot of catching up to do work wise. Now I need to work on my Featured Stamper card. I can’t break my challenge streak. I think I am at 23 challenges in a row! So let me just give you the recipe today.

Stamps: Priceless, Short & Sweet

Inks: Blue Bayou, Pretty in Pink, Sage Shadow, and Close to Cocoa Ink Pads, Close to Cocoa Marker

Paper: Blue Bayou, Whisper White, Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink cardstock, Love me Designer Paper

Acc.: 1/2″ (to round the sentiment strip), 1 1/4″, 1 3/8″ and scallop circle punch, corner rounder, ticket corner punch, silver brads, sponges, Dazzling Diamond Glitter, Glue Pen, Pink Taffeta ribbon

I saw that I broke the 600,000 hit mark while I was offline. I will post a Fresh & Fun Freebie either later today or tomorrow! Wow!!! The counter is going fast! Thank you all so much for checking out my blog! Makes a girl feel special! :)

Scrapbook Sunday #6: Look at that look

Between Rick and Rebecca. It makes my heart melt just a little to see the love that they share.

This 8 1/2″ x 11″ page is the last of my Fun & Fast Notes Scrapbook pages that I made for the Display at Denver.

I saw a scrapbook page like that in a scrapbook magazine and tried to recreate it with Stampin’ Up! supplies. I liked how theblack background and the crazy ribbon/paper fringes looked together.

The word Love is from the set Fundamental phrases, the heart is doodled. Some of the strips as well as the heart were stamped with the now retired set Finest Flourishes.
