Miracle of the Season

Here is my sample for my sketch this weekend.

holy-triptych-wsc19.jpg

If I could  buy a bunch of just this paper, this might be my Christmas card.

I started out with a 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Always Artichoke, folded in half and sponged around the edges.

On top of it is a 5″ square of the Brocade Background Designer paper. It was ticket corner punched, distressed with the cutter kit, stamped with the All in a Row Argyle stamp in Chocolate Chip and sponged with Always Artichoke classic ink.

The center image from Holy Triptych is stamped in Chocolate chip on a 2″ x 2 3/4″ piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. The top two corners were punched with the ticket corner punch. I colored the image with Aqua Painter and following Classic inks: Always Artichoke, River Rock, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Creamy Caramel.

The edges were first sponged in River Rock, then in Chocolate chip. It was layered on a 1/4″ bigger piece of Always Artichoke, that was sponged and distressed.

The next two layers are a 3″ x 4″ piece of River Rock cardstock, sponged, stamped with Baroque Motifs swirls and little flower and ticket corner punched and a 1/4″ bigger piece of distressed and sponged Chocolate Chip cardstock with Pewter brads in the three visible corners.

I tied the new gorgeous Chocolate Satin Ribbon around the Designer paper layer.

The saying is from Star-Studded Season. I stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock, punched it out with a 1 3/8″ circle punch, sponged the edges first in River Rock, then in Chocolate chip and added the Baroque Motifs Swirl in River rock ink. That circle was layered on a sponged Chocolate Chip scallop circle.

As an accent I inked up the small flower from Baroque Motifs in River Rock and rock ‘n rolled the edges in Chocolate Chip ink. I placed it on the bottom left of the saying and added a Pewter brad in it’s center.

When I saw this in the catalogue I was so thrilled they finally had a really beautiful religious card, but then the faceless thing on this stamp sorta creeped me out. This card is SO stunning that I’m considering buying it just to make some cards for my mother and sister….

I think I have 1 piece of that green paper that I haven’t cut in to… All you’d need is about 25 or so of us to send you our sheet and you’d be able to mass produce this! LOL
