Simple Thanks with CC132

Here is another card I made with this weeks color challenge on SCS.

I needed to make a bunch of thank you cards. For the layout I used WSC18. I think it’s just perfect for quick and cute cards.

The card base is a 4 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Really Rust cardstock, folded in half. The right top and bottom corner were corner rounded.

The River Rock layer measures 2 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ and was topped with a 2 1/2″ x 4″ piece of Apple Cider Designer paper.

I added a small photo corner on the bottom right and faux stitched the edges with the Argyle Stamp from All in a Row. Three silver brads add the final touches to the photo corner.

I used my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole on the upper half of the card and tied double stitched River Rock ribbon through it.

For the center image, I inked up the Thank you From True Friend with my Chocolate Chip marker, huffed and stamped it on Very Vanilla cardstock. It was punched out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch and layered first on a 1 3/8″ River Rock circle, then on a Chocolate Chip scallop circle. I adhered it with dimensionals, covering up the hole I made for the ribbon.

Sketch Challenge SC142

 sc142.jpg

I really liked the layout for yesterday’s sketch challenge on Splitcoast.

I knew right away I wanted to use the Angel from Holy Triptych again. I love that stamp.

I also knew I would have to make the card bigger to fit the Angel on it.

I stamped the angel on Shimmery White with Black Stazon and colored her in with Aqua painter and Always Artichoke, Creamy Caramel, Close to Cocoa, Purely Pomegranate and River Rock Classic inks.

I added Dazzling Diamond glitter on the wings with help of my glue pen. (Click on the image to view it larger. You will be able to see the glitter then.)

I cut the cardstock down to 2 1/8″ x 3 1/8″, used the ticket corner punch on all four corners and layered it on a 1/4″ bigger, corner punched piece of black cardstock.

The next layer is a 4″ square of Holiday Harmony Designer paper that was ticket corner punched and layered on a 4 1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock. I used the All in a Row Argyle to add Faux Stitching , adhered a large black Photo Corner on the top right secured it with gold brads. I also added gold brads in each of the three remaining corners.

The card base is a 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Basic Black cardstock folded in half. The next layer is a 5″ square of Holiday Harmony paper. It was ticket corner punched and faux stitching was added.

This one was  very quick card. I think I just have to break down and buy several packs of this paper and then make different Christmas cards with this set and the paper, so I can use all of the paper.
