Simple Birthday
I am sorry I am so quiet.
I worked on my swaps for Portland last weekend. Yesterday and today I went shopping to get ready for Portland. I didn’t get to create much.
This is a very simple card I made today.
The image from Trees from all Season was stamped in Black Stazon on a 2″ square Watercolor Paper and colored with Old Olive, Ruby Red, Close to Cocoa and Soft Sky Classic ink and Aqua Painter.
It was layered on a 2 1/4″ square of Black cardstock and 2 1/2″ square of Close to Cocoa cardstock.
The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Basic Black cardstock folded in half. The second layer is a 4″ square of Ruby Red cardstock.
The horizontal layer is a 1 3/8″ wide piece of Petals & Paisley Designer paper layered on a Whisper White cardstock. Both sides were scalloped with the corner punch. Soft Sky Double Stitched Ribbon was wrapped around the Olive paper.
The saying is from All Holiday and was stamped in Black Stazon.

I can’t believe it!
I am using the same set for my portland swap!
and of course it’s totally different.
I thought I would chose a set you don’t see everyday.
I love how you did the soft sky background!

Cute card Beate!! Enjoy yourself at Regionals - I will be living vicariously through those of you who get to attend since I simply could not fit it in around the move!! However, I will be going to Leadership if it kills me - LOL! Thanks for giving me continuing inspiration, especially since all my supplies(well, almost all, had to SOMETHING to play with!) are packed in big boxes!! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

Have a great time in Portland! I’m actually from that area and will be flying in on Saturday to visit family and friends for a few days - unfortunately too late to get in on the stamping fun. But Portland in fall is fantastic, so you’re going at a great time.

Really cute! Love how you colored green around the treetop. So it would be full with a few colored leaves.
