Weekend Sketch challenge sample: Wanted
It felt good to sponge, distress and play with hardware yesterday!
I had a great time making this card while thinking of situations to use this card in.
Well, lets just say I came up with a few all involving my man! LOL
The card base is a 5 1/4″ x 10 1/2″ piece of Chocolate chip cardstock folded in half and sponged.
Next is a 5″ square of Outlaw Designer paper. The corners were punched with the ticket corner punch and the edges faux stitched with All in a Row.
Next is a 3 3/4″ x 4″ piece of sponged Chocolate Chip cardstock. I distressed it with the Cutter Kit, layered with a 1/4″ smaller piece of Outlaw Designer paper and faux stitched with All in a Row.
that was followed by another piece of Outlaw Designer paper measuring 3″ x 3 1/4″. The left two corners were punched with the ticket corner punch, the right edge stitched with All in a Row. All four edges were paper pierced.
I added a double Photo corner in the top right of that layer. The bigger Photo corner is sponged Sage Shadow, the smaller one sponged and stamped Really Rust. Three Antique Brass Brads were place in the corner.
I stamped Wanted from the stamp set Wanted in Chocolate Chip on a 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ piece Very Vanilla cardstock. I sponged, distressed and paper pierced that layer and taped it to a 1/4″ bigger piece of sponged and distressed Sage Shadow cardstock.
I stamped the Medaillon from Wanted three times on Very Vanilla. Once in Really Rust, twice in Chocolate Chip. One Chocolate Chip image was punched out with the Scallop circle punch, from the other Chocolate Chip image the center was punched out with 1/2″ circle punch. I used the 1 1/4″ circle punch to punch the center circle out of the Really Rust image. Everything was layered on top of each other and Antique Brads were added.

Awesome card Beate! I love all the brads…and the distressing and all the details; they really add to the western feel of the card! I always wonder how to interpret the “Wanted” sentiment as well, and mostly I think along the same lines as you LOL! I did see a “Wanted” to thank you card on SCS, and I did a “miss you” card with this set. I also think it would be great for invitations.

For some reason I’ve battled with this challenge, and the card on my blog isn’t quite right - so I’ll have another go. You can see my ‘almost’ card at http://inknrubba.blogspot.com/
