What a bummer! I finally got around to participating in your sketch challenge for the first time last weekend, and you’re done for the year! Beate, thank you for all the sketch challenges even though I didn’t get to do a lot of them it was always nice to stop by. Take care of that family of yours and have a Great Holiday!! I kind of know what you mean about DH going away. Its not going to be easy. The most time my DH went away was for 6 months and I was pregnant with our second child and delivered her while he was gone so I will be thinking of you!!

My hubby was gone for a year last year (Korea unaccompanied tour)and I wholeheartedly support your decision to take some time away from blogging to be with your family! Best of luck you you and your family over the year. My husband was gone for a year and a half and we have three children. As hard as it is, you’ll get through it. Even though it doesn’t sound possible, the time will fly by. So from the wife of a soldier, tell your husband thank you for all he does. And to you and your children, thank you for supporting him while he serves. Cherish every moment you have with him now…it’ll get you through the next year.

Family definitely comes first!! We will be here.
