Chipboard Coaster Calendar
I made this little calendar for Rick for while he is in Qatar.
I sure hope he will have a desk to put it on.
Just thinking about Rick leaving, Rebecca is worried about missing him.
You will find a step by step tutorial on splitcoaststampers.

It is beautiful! I’m sure that Rick will treasure it. It is tough in the beginning but soon you will all adjust (even though adjusting is the last thing you feel like you want to do!). Lots of hugs and prayers for your family.

Thank you for taking the time to post this as your family prepares for the deployment. I know that all of your work will be appreciated by Rick everyday. This is just beautiful…as always!

My boyfriend will be in Qatar too. He’s a C-17 Loadmaster here at Charleston AFB. He leaves on Saturday, but will only be gone for 4 months. This calendar is a cute idea…I may have to whip one up to send to him because I doubt I’d get it done before he leaves!! Thanks for sharing!!

That’s an awesome gift for Rick while he’s gone. He’ll look at it often I’m sure! The hardest part for me while my hubby was gone was all of the sleep I lost while IM’ing him in the middle of the night while he was up! The good thing is we had such good conversations on IM while he was over there. It was like we were dating again!! : ) Good luck with the transition.

My heart swells with admiration for you, as you let your mate go for a while to do what he does. It is with complete thankfulness that I acknowledge the sacrifice that not only he makes, but as you all make as his family, for him to do his job. Thank you for all that you share with us, not just your beautiful work, but yourself.

I am so sorry you and the kids will be alone for a while. How hard that must be. This is such a nice way for Rick to remember the kids. I hope you put a lovely picture of you in there too. I am sure he will miss you like crazy! Many hugs!! We have all missed you.

My husband was deployed for 18 months and I sent him with a very fat 8×8 scrapbook of our family. The calendar is a great idea because even though it’s a cliche, the only way to keep your sanity is to face the deployment ONE DAY AT A TIME. My thoughts are with you and your family.
