Lovely Labels - Simple Thanks

It’s not often that I make a 10 minute card. I am a slow stamper to begin with and I like to add a lot of detail to my cards. Making simple cards is very hard for me. I love the look of them, but usually I just can’t do it. Whenever I make one I feel the need to add and add and add….

So be gentle with me.

Here is a very simple card.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Purely Pomegranate cardstock folded in half and wheeled with It’s Beautiful Jumbo Wheel that was inked with Purely Pomegranate (I just inked it up by rolling it over the pad several times.)

On the bottom of the card a 1 3/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Pumpkin Pie Prints Designer paper was adhered.

I tied Chocolate Satin Ribbon (We were able to purchase this ribbon by the spool in the Holiday mini catalog. You can still get it in the Theater Ribbon Original pack.) around the card on the top of the Pumpkin strip.

The saying is from Lovely Labels. I love round greetings. I am excited that Stampin’ Up! has added more to their catalog.  I stamped the saying in Chocolate Chip Craft ink on Confetti White cardstock and embossed it with clear embossing powder twice. Once it cooled down, I punched it out with the 1 1/4″ circle punch (the punch is just a hair too small, but I wanted another layer before the scallop) and then layered it first on a sponged 1 3/8″ Purely Pomegranate circle, then on a Confetti White scallop circle.

I adhered the sentiment with two dimensionals on top and regular snail adhesive on the bottom of the circle to the card.

Be Inspired Challenge #1

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I had a great time with my kids, but again, I got no stamping done.

I went to see P.S., I love you with my neighbor and Rebecca. I thought it would be a great girls movie. It is, but not for 8 year old girls. I kept on covering Rebecca’s ears and eyes. LOL After the movie she said it was a grown up movie.

I loved the movie, even though I kept wiping tears away. It is a beautiful film. PLUS, it’s a Gerard Butler movie. I see every movie he is in. Gorgeous actor with delicious accent! What more can you ask for????

Yesterday Rebecca and I went out to eat to P.F. Chang! We love the restaurant. The boys don’t like it. So we had another girls trip. After the lunch we stopped by Office Depot. I was out of Transparencies. I saw this notebook and had to pick it up. It’s so pretty.

So I thought I challenge you again. I don’t know how often I will post my inspiration challenge. I will post when I find something that I think has to be translated in a card.

Are you up for it? This is just for fun. If you want to play, make a card and use this notepad as inspiration. You can just use the color combination, use the layout….whatever you like. Add a link to the comment section to this post. If you upload to SCS, use BIC1 as a keyword.

My washing, cleaning and baking is done! Wohoo! Stamping time!
