Tutorial on SCS - Sour Cream Container

Today’s tutorial on Splitcoast is for Sour Cream Container. I thought it would be another great little container to show before Valentine. They are super quick and very easy to make.

I made this sample when I wrote the tutorial.

I used a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Le Jardin Designer Paper.

The centerpiece is stamped with stamps from the Carte Postale stamp set.

I also made a clear sour cream container out of a 1/4″ sheet of acetate and the Happy Heart Day stamp set to show off a slight variation.

Additional info: I used Sticky Strip to tape my Acetate sour cream container. BUT….after 1 1/2 weeks (yesterday) it popped apart. If you want your sour cream container to hold longer then that, use eyelets or brads additionally on the short ends.

Love these! When I looked at the first one I thought the sentiment said moonshine. I thought that was odd, ha! I had to tilt my head to see what it really said.

Beate this is such a cute little container. I am going to make them for my neighbors children. Sorry I havent participated in the weekend challenges lately. I am going to try this weekend.
I also think it is a wonderful thing you are doing sending cards to all the troops. My son is a reservist here in Canada and is hoping that he can help the cause overseas one day so I think that sending all those cards will make them all feel so good.
Have a wonderful weekend.
