Limited Supply Challenge: Just one!
Friday’s challenge was to create a card with just one flower stamp and an optional sentiment. No designer paper, no cuttlebugging. Since I am on a watercoloring trip right now, I pulled out my unused From the Garden.
I stamped the flower in Black StazOn on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ sheet of Watercolor paper and colored the image with Aqua Painter and classic inks (Soft Sky, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Apricot Appeal, Really Rust, Ruby Red and Close to Cocoa).
The paper was layered on a 1/4″ bigger piece of Black cardstock and paper pierced on the edges.
For the sentiment I stamped for you from All Holidays on Shimmery White cardstock. I added a little Mellow Moss underneath and punched it out with the small oval punch. That was layered on a Really Rust. Again I paper pierced the edge.
The bottom of the sentiment layers is a black designer label punchout. Next is a 1″ Apricot Appeal circle followed by a piece of Stylish Silver Hodgepodge hardware. I added a brad to the bottom and strung Moss Taffeta ribbon through the top. One of the new brads from the same hardware kit finished off the ribbon/sentiment.
Can you tell I am having fun practising my watercoloring?
Have a wonderful day. You know my Monday routine. Vaccuming, dusting, mopping the floors, washing the towels and bed linens and baking cookies!
Hugs and smiles
