Pomegranate Flowers

I am a bit behind on this weeks challenges. Here is my sample for today’s sketch challenge with the colors of Tuesday’s challenge on SCS.

I thought this layout would showcase Cammie’s new set very well.

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Purely Pomegranate cardstock folded in half. I stamped the swirl from Baroque Motifs in Purely Pomegranate on it and sponged the edges with Purely Pomegranate, then with Going Grey.

The Going Gray cardstock layer measures 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and has a dotted border on it made with a white gel pen. It is followed by a 3 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ piece of Basic Black cardstock by a 3″ x 4″ piece of BasicGrey paper. I tied Artichoke stitched ribbon from May Arts around both the black cardstock and the patterned paper and added a double photo corner on the top right that were topped with three Artichoke brads.

I inked up the stamp with Always Artichoke and Purely Pomegranate ink and stamped it on a 1 1/2″ x 2″ piece of Shimmery White cardstock. That was layered on a rectangle Nextabilities die cut and paper pierced. I added black brads in the center of each flower.

To participate in the challenge and be entered in the  raffle, make a card with this layout and upload it either to your blog, or to an online gallery.

If you upload your card on SCS, put WSC39 (NO SPACE INBETWEEN WSC AND 39) in the keyword section. That way we can look at all of them at once!

Post a link to your card to this blog entry as a comment. Please add your entry# to it.

I will determine the winner  with Random.org on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.
