Small Carte Postale Note with Holder
I will keep this post a short! I stayed in bed reading a book for most of the morning. I love Saturdays. Now I promised Rebecca another trip to PF Chang. That’s our thing. We go there a lot! Girl time. The boys are usually too busy with their friends Plus Austin is so picky, he doesn’t eat anything they offer. Crazy…I know.
I haven’t been stamping that much new stuff this week. I had a workshop Monday night, then stamped cards for downline and customer on Tuesday, wrote a tutorial on Wednesday ….I don’t really know where the rest of the week went. LOL
Anyway….I made these cards for Sunday’s Featured Stamper Challenge. I needed some cards to give as hostess gifts (and an easy make and take), so I chose to case 3×3 cards. I love making those tiny cards.
Like I said, I am trying to keep this short.
My tummy is rumbling and Rebecca is waiting.
The stamps I used were Carte Postale, the Designer Paper Le Jardin, the ribbon is Vanilla Tafetta ribbon.
I think two years ago Pam Downs gave me a cute little note holder made out of a business size envelope. Pam always has wonderful ideas and projects!!! I never made one until now. I love the look of it though. It’s easy peasy. Take a business size envelope, seal, fold in half and cut off edges. I used the corner rounder to make a scalloped edge (I know…another addiction of mine).
Here is the front of the folder.
I am not sure about the measurements anymore, but I think it was a 4 1/4″ x 11″ strip of Mellow Moss cardstock, scored at 4 1/2″ and 9″.
The flap was cut with my Coluzzle.
The front was stamped with Carte Postale and mellow moss ink.
The focal point was stamped with Carte Postale and Elegant Cheer on Shimmery White cardstock, that was layered first on Mellow Moss, then on a scalloped Chocolate Chip rectangle cut with Nestabilities (don’t resist…you NEED those!). It is attached to the flap with dimensionals.
The flap is held down by tugging the rectangle under the tied 5/8″ wide Brocade grosgrain ribbon.
Here is a shot of the inside.
It held three 3×3 cards as well as three envelopes well.
If you tie the ribbon vertically instead of horizontally, you can fit four cards in comfortably.
Have a wonderful day!!! I know I will have a great time with my girl!
Update: We just got back. We had a blast. After Chang’s spicy Chicken and trying to eat the Great Wall of China (OHHHHH…..so good. 2/3 of it is now sitting on my kitchen table. Definitely a family dessert!) we went to Sketchers, where we both got a great pair of shoes. Then we stopped at The Children’s Place again for another dress and some cute leggings. Great girl bonding time!

Very cute cards and holder…
Question, my mom got the nestabilities and they seem like a lot of work to cut, all the layering and such, is it something you get better at or does it just take awhile to cut unless you get their machine? Did that make any sense?

Beate, you do so much and even get time to read in bed!!! You gotta have great kids. I miss those days, but Jana’s little Julia is getting up there where she and Nana can have those days to be a “special or us”. I cooked up a plan yesterday for when Jana comes back to FL. Her sister has floating timeshares that we can use and there is someplace up near you! We will make it yet. And she is moving back to the USA in August, but pretty certain it will be to California.
