Bug Spray
I made this card with today’s sketch for last weeks Limited Supply Challenge.
The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Always Artichoke folded in half.
The bottom layer started out as a 3 1/4″ x 3 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. It was dry embossed with my Cuttlebug and the Floral Fantasy folder, then sprayed with Hollyberry Glitter Mist. Hence, the weird card title. Once it was dry, I layered it on a 1/4″ bigger piece of Basic Black cardstock and paper pierced the edges.
The Certainly Celery Prints Designer Paper measures 2 1/2″ x 3″, is layered on a 1/4″ bigger piece of sponged Always Artichoke and it’s edges are paper pierced as well. I tied May Arts ribbon around these layers.
The stamps for the main panel are from the Level 2 hostess bundle Spring Solitude. I inked up the branch with Chocolate chip and a bit of black marker, the leaves with Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke. The bird is inked up with Purely Pomegrante. The images were stamped on a Shimmery White cardstock circle. It was layered on a bigger Artichoke circle and a Basic Black Scallop Circle. All circles were cut with the Nestabilities.
The sentiment was inked up with Black Stazon, one word at a time and stamped on Shimmery White cardstock. I added Soft Sky berries over it and punched it out with my large oval punch. A frame from the Pewter Hodgepodge hardware was added over it.
The flowers are from Michaels out of the wedding aisle. The top flowers have a black brad in their center, the one on the bottom a Pewter Build a Brad with a 1/2″ soft sky cardstock circle in it’s center.
