Too simple?
This card definitely doesn’t look like my usual cards.
After checking out the forums last Sunday, I found a thread about using the cuttlebug folders only partially.
I had seen it before and even played with it, but I have never made a card like it. So I tried it out.
The horizontal stripes are dry embossed with my Scor-Pal. After owning it for quite a while now, I have to tell you that I think it is a must have tool. It makes scoring so easy and projects that need scored lines a breeze.
I used the Swiss Dots Embossing folder on the top and the bottom of a 4″ Whisper White cardstock. Over the dots I scored two lines 1/4″ apart with the Scor-Pal.
The stamps are from Always. I inked up the branch first with Old Olive ink, then added extra ink with my Ruby Red marker. The ribbon is the new Olive Poly-Twill ribbon from the Occasional Mini catalog .
So what do you think? Is it too bland!
