Crafty Daisies
I took the design of the dress literally and used it as the layout and color inspiration of my card.
My card base is a Saffron Long Note from last year’s catalog.
I added a 2 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ piece of Pumpkin Pie to the bottom part. First I only taped that on with a tad of adhesive.
I stamped the flower cluster from Spring Solitude in Brown Palette Ink and drew stems with my brown Micron Pen.
Next I colored the images with Whisper White, Lavendar Lace (I used PURPLE….just a bit, but I did!!!), Ballet Blue and Close to Cocoa craft ink and Blender Pen. At first I was concerned about my blender pen. I used my oldest one. But it works like a charm. Over the dried white flowers, I added white gel pen highlights.
The edges of the card were sponged with So Saffron, the Pumpkin layer with Pumkin Pie. I also stamped the berry flower in Pumpkin on the bottom. I taped the Pumpkin layer on the card base and used the corner rounder to match the corners. Black grosgrain ribbon was tied around the card where the Pumpkin layer ends.
I stamped the image again on a scrap of So Saffron cardstock, Colored it in with Ballet Blue, cut it out and sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie classic ink. 1/2″ circle of Close to Cocoa was stamped with the berry flower in Close to Cocoa and sponged in the same color. That circle was adhered to a Pewter Build a Brad and placed in the center of the cut out flower. That was adhered with dimensionals over the matching flower that was covered by the ribbon.
Last I stamped the Thank you from Spring Silhouette in Black Palette ink on Shimmery White cardstock, punched it out with my large oval punch, clipped the oval a little bit on the right and sponged the edges first with So Saffron, then with Pumpkin Pie. That was taped on the lower right hand side.
