Soft Flowers
I love the soft colors in this week’s inspiration challenge. I knew I wanted to use Soft Sky, Summer Sun, White, Mellow Moss, Old Olive and a dash of Chocolate Chip and a flower as main image. Here is what I came up with.
The card base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock folded in half.
The next layer is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Soft Sky cardstock. All four corner were punched with the ticket corner punch.
Over it is a 1/4″ smaller piece of Bali Breeze Designer Paper. All corners were punched as well. and the edges were stamped with the Argyle from All in a Row in Brown Palette ink.
I stamped the flowering branch from Embrace Life in Brown Palette ink on Soft Sky cardstock. The flowers were first colored with White Craft ink and Blender Pen. Next I added Summer Sun and a bit of Chocolate Chip over that. For the stem and buds, Mellow Moss and Old Olive Classic ink was used. The edges were sponged and paper pierced. It was layered first on a 1/4″ bigger piece of Whisper White cardstock, then on a scalloped Chocolate Chip rectangle, cut with my Nestabilities templates.
The horizontal Summer Sun cardstock layer measures 1 5/8″ x 4 5/8″. It was topped with a 1/8″ smaller piece of swiss dotted Whisper White cardstock. 5/8″ Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon was tied around both layers. . The main image was attached with dimensionals.
Sorry this sounds so rushed. I stamped it last night and I have to finish this entry before driving the boys to school ( huge science project - egg launcher to deliver) and a certain size ball to find.
