Personal Update

Thank you all for your well wishes and kind comments lately. I really appreciate it.

I am having a great summer. Reading, laying out, dancing DDR with my kids, going to the movies, getting pedicures with my girl or going out to eat. I have decided that I am taking a summer break until the 15th of August. Rick is coming home the first two weeks for August. School starts back up on the 18th and by then I will hopefully have new Stampin’ Up! stamps to play with.

I won’t post any more challenges until then either. The next sketch challenge will be posted on the 15th of August.

I hope you are all having a great summer as well! Big cyber hugs! See you in August (I hope!).

WSC51 winner - Genelle Collins

Random.org picked #99. That was this entry from Genelle Collins, aka. Nelliekc.

wsc51_by_nelliekc.jpg

Thank you all for participating in the challenge. The entries I have seen so far were wonderful.

Personal Note:
Thank you so much for your kind and supportive posts and emails. They really lifted me up.

I haven’t stamped since last week. The kids are home, my air conditioner is not working right (think 85 degrees in the house during the days) and I haven’t had new stamp sets (well, one, Fresh Cuts, but I have used that a lot already). I think it’s time for me to start my summer break.

I will continue to post challenges, but I don’t know if I will make samples or not. I definitely won’t stamp until my AC is working again. Right now we just lay around the house trying not to move.

Again, thanks so much for your support.

RAK from Shanna

rakshannafudge.jpg

Shanna Fudge sent me this beautiful card.

Check out more of her work on her blog Enabling everyone to Stamp.

Thank you so much, Shanna!

Personal Note:

I was deeply saddened by the mean and hurtful things posted yesterday on SCS about the tutorial posted there. Claudia offered to write the tutorial. She learned the technique from her demonstrator.

Claudia send me instructions that I completely rewrote. Jenn then rewrote them again. If the wording is the same as in the newsletter, then it is a very unfortunate coincidence.

I am NOT a technique junkie newsletter, nor have I been since starting to write the tutorials for SCS. I stopped subscribing so that I could and would not be influenced by it nor could I be accused of “stealing” their wording. That hasn’t stopped some people from doing so yesterday.

I am very hurt by this. Accusing people without knowing facts is easy to do, but not very nice. I don’t feel like stamping or sharing today.

I will spend time reading a book and later with the kids. They have early release today as tomorrow is the first day of summer vacation.
