Urban Silhouettes

Last weeks sketch challenge on SCS was neat. I didn’t get to play with it until last Friday, when I was stamping with friends.

I immediately thought of the Pocket Silhouettes images stamped in a row for the long #3 panel.

My card base is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Baja Breeze cardstock folded in half.

Next is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock layered with two 2″ x 3 3/4″ pieces of Urban Garden Designer Paper.

The Designer Paper layer was paper pierced and Baja Breeze Striped Grosgrain ribbon tied over the center, where both papers meet.

For the main panel I stamped two Pocked Silhouettestamps in Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze on a 1 7/8″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. That was layered on a 1/4″ bigger piece of Baja Breeze cardstock and finally on a Chocolate scallop rectangle (cut with Long Rectangle Nestabilities)

The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Chip on Whisper White cardstock. It was punched out with the small oval punch, layered on a 1″ circle punch-out from Urban Garden Designer Paper and finally adhered to a Chocolate Designer Label Punch-out. To add a little something I a placed one of the new Flower Designer Brads to the left of the sentiment and added a 1/8″ Baja Blue circle in it’s center.

Sorry my entry is so late. I forgot to add the post last night. This morning I was a bit preoccupied watching the weather channel. We are only getting the effects of the outer bands of the storm. Thank goodness! But…we just had our first Tornado Warning. I hope it will be the last. It’s windy, rainy and dark. But it’s not bad. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of LA, MS and TX.

Hugs and smiles
