Guess who got her Holiday Mini preorder in?  (Second day aired it. Couldn’t wait) LOL

Sorry about the picture. I had to take it last night. Lucas has a doctor’s appointment early in the morning and I won’t be able to take a good picture before taking him to the base clinic.

The card base (surprise, surprise) is a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock folded in half.

The next layer is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Riding Hood Red, stamped with the berry/leaf stamp from the stamp set “A Christmas Cardinal” and sponged first with Riding Hood Red, the with Chocolate Chip ink. The edges of the cardstock were distressed with the Cutter Kit and paper pierced.

The next Chocolate Chip layer measures 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. It was sponged and the edges were distressed again. On top of that is a 1/4″ smaller piece of Ski Slope Designer Paper that was sanded with our sanding block.

The horizontal strip of Shimmery White cardstock measures 1 1/4″ x 4″. I punched the right hand side with the Scallop Edge Punch and sponged the edges with Creamy Caramel. It was adhered to all layers and the new Alpine Ribbon was tied around it.

I stamped the Cardinal stamp with Black Stazon on White Shimmery cardstock and punched it out with the new 1 3/4″ circle punch. The edges were sponged with Creamy Caramel, the image colored with Aqua Painter and ink pads (Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Creamy Caramel, Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood Red).

I paper pierced the edges and layered the circle on a 2″ sponged and paper pierced Riding Hood Red square. That square was layered on a bigger Chocolate Chip scallop square that was pieced together out of 4 Chocolate chip scallop square punchouts.
