09/11 - Pacific Friend
My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family members of the victims of the horrendous terrorist attacks seven years ago. I remember exactly where I was the day it happened. I couldn’t believe it was real. It is still hard to grasp that all that destruction and malice was not just a movie, but reality.
On a lighter note, I want to share with you a small 3″ x 3″ card I made with the Level 1 hostess set Punches Three.
I know, I know….I showed a lot of cards with that set.
I love it!
The card base is a 3″ x 6″ piece of Pacific Point cardstock folded in half.
On top of it is a 2″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, topped with 1 7/8″ x 3″ piece of Bella Rose Designer Paper. The bottom side of the Designer Paper was punched with the Scallope Edge Punch.
I paper pierced a row over the Whisper White cardstock and tied a White Taffeta Ribbon around the middle of the paper.
I stamped the Friend stamp twice, once in Pacific Point and once in Kiwi Kiss ink on Whisper White cardstock. I punched both out with the Square Scallop punch. I cut out the friend sentiment from the Kiwi Kiss image and taped it over the Pacific Point image. That was adhered with dimensionals to the card.

I remember that day too. I was at work and we had to be “normal” so the students wouldn’t freak out. It was a hard time. But, like you said, on a lighter note, I love your card!

Even here in Canada I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday. I completely shut down and wouldn’t let the kids out of my sight ! Remembering all of those who saved and lost their lives that day.
Your card is beautiful and a wonderful reminder of how special friendships are.
Take care my friend…
