Tutorial on SCS - Ghiradelli Box
ChiChi Allen created this adorable box to hold chocolate squares a couple of Valentines ago. It’s perfect to give away up to four of the delicous squares. It’s fast and easy. You can find the tutorial on SCS today.
I will be getting my first order of the new catalog today. I hope it will inspire me to stamp. After my big break, I am not sure what kind of cards I will be creating. But I hope I will be back tomorrow with another upload.
P.S.: My camera doesn’t focus on super close ups no more. The second picture took me 10 minutes to take. I need to find me a photo shop in my area that can check it out. Does anyone have a Canon Rebel XT that had the same problem before?
Hugs and smiles

Oh Beate! Welcome back. I’ve been missing your posts. Hope you had a terrific break. I love this little box. BUT, I don’t want to be the giver, I want to be the recipient! LOL

I had a Digi Rebel XT and unless you have a close up lense (100mm Macro) a close up shot will never be very crisp. We had the base lense with the camera and could never get a really nice close up shot. Hope that makes sense. BTW, nice to see you Beate and fab project.

I am so thrilled to see a post on your blog! I’ve missed you. This box is super cute.
I wonder if you have a piece of dust inside. I’ve noticed that has happened with mine at times. I don’t touch the inside but sometimes blowing the dust out helps. There were directions for cleaning the mirrors inside, but I think I’m leaving that to the pros. I know that there is a way to put it in cleaning mode, but I’ve never actually done it.

Good Morning Beate!
I was super busy yesterday but I did see the SCS newsletter and your tutorial come through…I was super excited because we can FINALLY buy these chocolates in Canada!!
I have a Rebel too and what I’ve noticed is that I need to stand back a bit…maybe two feet and then zoom in with my lens. I remember them teaching us that in an hour long class I took when I got it. I’ll take a look at what my settings on my camera are this morning.

It’s so good to see your post, Beate. I pray that you have had a wonderful time catching up with your husband. I simply can not imagine having my dh gone for so long. I have a friend whose hubby is working in Afghanistan and has been there for a year already….with another to go. I admire you and your family immensely.
The box is so cute, too. Can’t wait to see what you make with your new SU goodies!

Howdy, Beate!
I am sooooooo honored to see my name on your blog!!!!! I am so thrilled to know you still remembered me!!!
How’s life? I took some time off being a demo and just finished my dissertation a month ago. I am now working as an intern in Dallas and am going to Sharon Armstrong’s stamp club. How weird is that?
Hope all is going well. We are hoping to head back to College Station this summer but we are also looking at San Antonio.
Love,
ChiChi
