Weekend Sketch Challenge #79

I am a total flaker again, but…I finished the last book in my series. Now I have to wait until #12 comes out this November.
The book series is called Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. If you like fantasy, this might a book series for you.
I am not sure if I will get to stamp today either. Katrina and I are going to the outlet malls first, then to see Ghost of Girlfriends past. I can’t believe I am going to the first showing on the first day of the movie release. I usually wait a whole week before going to see new movies. I don’t like crowds. Oh well…

oh, I LOVE that book series!! I have all of them so far. I’d heard the author actually passed away before the series was finished … they have found another author to complete it. I think there’s going to be three books from him and then the series will be done. It’s a long one, but a good one!!

My husband LOVES those books! The day Robert Jordan passed away was the second saddest I have ever seen him, second only to the day his mother passed away. I have never known a woman that read those books, maybe I should give them a try!

I love that series and got my husband hooked on it. It’s a shame though, I didn’t read any during college and then I graduated in 2001 and still haven’t read any, so I’m very far behind. I think I’ve only read 8 or 9 of them. It will be interesting to see how Brandon Sanderson finishes out the series. Jordan’s wife picked him to finish the books for her husband after he died. Brandon Sanderson’s books are also good, if you have more time to read

Beate, you are so lucky you JUST finished it! I read the entire series in 2 months a couple of years ago. I’ll probably have to do it again when the final book comes out, just so I can re-aquaint myself with all the characters and plot lines! I loved the series, so sad that RJ died before finishing it.

I love Robert Jordan! Although, I’m slack and only got to about 8 or 9 too … but my hubby has finished them all. We were both so sad when Robert Jordan passed away. I hadn’t heard someone new was taking it on … so I must go tell hubby! If you haven’t already … try out Raymond Feist or Terry Goodkind next
