Sorry I have been so quiet. My neck is better, just a little twinge left when I turn my head too far. But with these gray skies and cold weather, I just can’t get into the stamping mood. I do still have a card to share with you though. I made as a sample for what you can do with Martha Stewarts Punch around the Page punches.

verveheartsofmarthapatp.jpg

For this card base I started out with a 5″ x 10″ piece of Chocolate chip cardstock folded in half. The edges were punched with the Topiary Corner and Border punches from Martha Stewart and sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

A 3 5/8″ square of My Mind’s Eye Pretty Please Patterned Paper was embossed with the Fleur De Lis Cuttlebug Embossing folder and sponged with Vintage Photo Distress ink. It was stitched to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Vanilla cardstock. Ivory Silk Ribbon from May Arts was tied around both layers before they were adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

For the centerpiece I cut the same piece of My Mind’s Eye paper (pattern from the other side) with Octagon Nestabilities, stamped a heart from Verve’s Hearts on Fire on the upper half, the sentiment from Kindred Spirit on the lower half with Vintage Distress ink. The layer was stitched to a Vanilla Octagon and then adhered to a sponged Rose Red Scallop Octagon. I stamped the heart image again on the front side of the paper, cut out the heart, embossed it with the Fleur De Lis embossing folder, sponged it with Vintage Photo ink and adhered it to the front with dimensionals. The heart was then covered in Crystal Effect and sprinkled with Dazzling Diamond Glitter.

The inside of the card is kept very simple. I stamped the heart/swirl image on the bottom of a 3 3/4″ Very Vanilla Square. Next I added a embossed and sponged heart of the My Mind’s Eye paper (orange dotted side) with dimensionals. The heart was also covered with Crystal Effect and Dazzling Diamond Glitter. The edges of the paper were sponged with Vintage Photo.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles
