I recently shot a video for the Swing Card Tutorial. For my sample card I chose Flourishes Cherries and Peaches set. I stamped the bunch of cherries in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was colored with Copic Markers (R24, R29, YR15, E25, E29, YG23, YG25, YG17, B000) and cut out.

A 2 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ piece of white cardstock was stitched to a red scalloped cardstock rectangle that had been cut with the Long Scallope Recangle Nestabilities. The cherries were attached to the left hand side of those rectangle layers with dimensionals.

fllcpeachescherriesswingcar.jpg

The card base is a 5 1/2″ x 6 3/4″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock that had been scored and cut according to the tutorial. I cut Weathervane October Afternoon paper in 1 1/8″ x 5 3/8″, 1 1/8″ square and 1 1/8″ x 1 3/8″ pieces and sewed them to the layers in the card front. I taped the same pieces on the back (to hide the stitching…didn’t look perfect in the back).

The sentiment is from the same stamp set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities. The inside was colored with Copic Marker B000. Two Tres Jolie My Mind’s Eye buttons were attached to the top left with Scor-Tape to finish of the front.

fllcpeachescherriesswingbac.jpg

For the back side of the swinging part I cut another rectangle scallop and white center piece and stitched them together. I stamped the small cherry image in the lower right corner and colored it with the same markers used for the big image.

Here is another T-slide card I prepared for last weeks’ video tutorial. The card base is basically the same as the last slider card. I used a different image and different Nestabilities.

The image is from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence My Balloon. The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was colored in with Copic Markers (E000, E01, E11, YG25, YG17, R24, R29, Y17, YR16, BG07,  BG09). The image was cut with Label 13 Nestabilities and layered on a piece of black cardstock that had been cut with Label 3 Nestabilities. The background was airbrushed with Copic Marker B00.

mftlonelymetslideclosed.jpg

The card base is a 4 5/8″ x 9 1/4″ piece of Textured Old Olive cardstock folded in half. The edges of a  4″ square of  Thrift Store October Afternoon Paper were sanded and stitched to a 4 1/4″ black cardstock square. Red Gingham Ribbon was tied around the right side of the layers.

mftlonelymetslideopen.jpg

When pulling on a tab on the right, the image lifts up and a hidden message appears. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. It was cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities and the inside was colored with Copic B00.

I don’t have artwork to share with you today. Sorry! Make sure to check out today’s tutorial on SCS. Jane Matsumoto created instructions for a wonderful project, an Accordion Style Card Holder. It looks like a great gift idea and easy to make.

Have a wonderful evening! Hugs and smiles

I created this card back in May for one of the VSN challenges. The image is from the April Monthly Mix It’s good to be the Queen from Lizzie Ann Designs. It was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers (YG00, YG01, YG03, RV00, RV02, RV13, BG0000, BG000, BG01). Patterns were added with the Inkessential white pen for more interest and the image was cut out with Petite Oval Nestabilities.

ladaquadotelephant.jpg

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Kraft cardstock that was folded in half. The bottom corners were rounded with a retired Stampin’ Up! corner rounded. The entire card front was covered with dots created with an Aqua Adirondack Paint Dabber. White gel pen dots circle those dots for more interest.

The sentiment is also from the April Monthly Mix kit. A bow out of White Silk Ribbon from May Arts was topped with a green Basic Grey Button and adhered to the image with a glue dot.

Here is a card I created a while ago for a Way to Use it Challenge. We were to use embossing on our card. I already had the center piece colored and cut so I first dry embossed with one of Stampin’ Up!’s new Embossing Folder (Mary Brown was here for a visit and brought it over to play with). Then the raised part of the strip was covered with Versamark and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.

The main image is from Flourishes Calendar Set #2. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers (B91, R24, R27, YG03, YG25, YR16, YR18). The image was cut with Label 9 Nestabilities. With the die still over the cardstock, the image was airbrushedwith Copic Marker B000.

fllccalendarset2wt276tigerl.jpg

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Early Espresso cardstock folded in half. 3 3/4″ wide Webster Pages patterned paper was stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of Whisper White paper. Espresso Satin ribbon was tied around the layers horizontally. The 2″ x 4 1/2″ piece of Riding Hood Red paper was stitched with brown thread and adhered over the ribbon with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from Flourishes Tag Lines. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut out with Petite Oval Nestabilities and airbrushed with Copic Marker YR16.  Three Pearl Kaisercraft Pearls on the top right finish off the card front.

fllccalendarset2wt276inside.jpg

The inside of the card is very basic. A small strip of Riding Hood Red cardstock was punched with Martha Stewart Deco Shell Border punch and a strip of Webster Pages patterned paper was stitched to it.

I recently shot a video for the Surprise Pop-Up Card tutorial and created this card as a sample. I used the darling Gertie from Stamping Bella’s Lulu Collection.

bellagertiesurprisepopupclo.jpg

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Real Red Cardstock folded in half. Two 3 3/4″ wide pieces of October Afternoon Paper (The Thrift Store and Report Card) were stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of Basic Black cardstock. After cutting the slider part, a strip of basic black cardstock was cut and embossed with Eyelet Borderabilities. The strip was cut into pieces that fit just over the slider parts and adhered. The strip that was adhered to the middle part only had adhesive on the part under the score line.

Gertie was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers(R27, R20, BG72, BG75, BG78, E50, E51). It was cut out with Petite Oval Nestabilities. With the die  still on the cardstock, the oval was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG10.

Strawberry Hydrangea Prima Flowers were topped with a White Recollections Brad and adhered to the lower right corner of the slider with dimensionals.

bellagertiesurprisepopupope.jpg

When you pull up the slider, you find the sentiment of the card. It’s from the Flourishes set Humming Along. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

bellagertiesurprisepopupins.jpg

The inside of the card is decorated with The Thrift Store paper and another Hydrangea flower.

I love this little girl stamp. I told Rebecca moves out and starts college, she might become my favorite daughter. LOL It is my only Greeting Farm stamp so far, but I will get some more with my next order from Inspiration Emporium. I was excited they added the TGF stamps to their inventory. I had this stamp since January, but just recently used her for the first title (hence the time).

I stamped Izzy in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers (it’s been so long, I forgot the colors…sorry!). It was cut out with Petite Oval Nestabilities and airbrushed with a light colored Copic Marker.

tgffirstizzysc286beate.jpg

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock folded in half. A 3 3/4″ long strip of Neenah Solar White cardstock was cut with the Eyelet Borderabilities and adhered underneath a 1 3/4″ piece of Thrift Store paper. May Arts White Crochet Trim was adhered above the green strips before the layers were stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of White cardstock.

A 1 5/8″ x 4 1/2″ piece of textured Real Red Cardstock was stitched on three sides and layered over the card front. Over that is a scalloped rectangle cut out of Chocolate Chip cardstock with Long Rectangle Nestabilities. The image was adhered over that.

White Crochet Trim (JoAnn’s) was stitched together and one side was pulled together and turned into a flower. I topped with a red Basic Grey button. Three Champagne Kaisercraft Pearls were adhered to the top right to finish off the card front.

tgffirstizzysc286inside.jpg

For the inside of the card I layered a 1 3/4″ x 3 15/16″ piece of Thrift Store paper over an Old Olive strip cut with Eyelet Borderabilities and then on a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. The layers were stitched together before they were adhered to the inside of the card.

This card was created for a not so easy color challenge on Splitcoast a few weeks back. Soft Suede, Apricot Appeal and Almost Amethyst….I didn’t think I could do it, but I think it worked in this card.

I used Flourishes Beauty Within Stamp set. The image was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers (G03, G07, BV20, BV23, Y21, Y23, E43, E44). The image was cut with Label 13 Nestabilities, layered on Soft Suede cardstock and cut around it to create the small layer underneath.

fllcbeautywithincc276amethy.jpg

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Soft Suede Cardstock folded in half. A 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Apricot Appeal Cardstock was embossed with Tim Holtz Damask Texture Plate and the edges were sponged with Wild Honey Distress Ink. The edges of a 1 3/4″ x 5″ strip of Whisper White cardstock were distressed and adhered to the upper part of the Apricot cardstock. The layers were stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of Whisper White cardstock.

A piece of Almost Amethyst Patterned paper (retired from Stampin’ Up!) was cut and embossed with Lattice Borderabilities and adhered over the the white paper strip and three Pearl Kaisercraft pearlswere adhered to the left side. A 3 3/4″ strip of White cardstock was cut with the other of the Lattice Borderabilities and stitched to a 1 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of Amethyst patterned paper strip. May Arts Crochet trim as adhered over that strip.

The sentiment is from Beauty Within. It was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities and adhered to the card front with dimensionals. White Taffeta Ribbon was tied into a bow and topped with a Recollections (Michaels) brad.

I made this card for one of the Free For All Challenges last month. We were to create a card with a window in the front. I recently had gotten some stamps from Mark’s Finest papers and decided to use this sweet owl from the stamp set Owl Be There.  It was stamped in Walnut Stain Distress ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut out with Petite Oval Nestabilities.  The flower center of the owl was colored with Copic Markers (Y21, YR21, YR23). An orange Rhinestone was adhered in the center of the flower.  It was layered on a Old Olive piece of cardstock that had been cut with Label 10 Nestabilities and stamped with a stamp from the Background Fun Stamp Set in Forest Moss Distress ink. A 1/4″ frame was cut out of Chocolate Chip cardstock with Petite Oval Nestabilities and sponged with Walnut Stain Distress ink.

mfpf4a16owlbirthdaybeate.jpg

The card base is a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Deepest Mahogany cardstock folded in half. An oval window was cut into the card front with Petite Oval Nestabilities. A 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Cosmo Cricket Early Bird Paperwas layered with a 2 3/4″ x 3 3/4″ piece of patterned paper out of the paper pack. A border was cut out of white cardstock with Lattice Borderabilities. It was adhered over the top of the paper strip. the two punch outs of the border were taped to the top left and right corners of the card front. Split Pea Rhinestones topped those off. The layer was stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. An oval was cut through those layers before they were adhered to the card front.

A frame was cut out of Old Olive cardstock by layering a Petite Oval into a Label 10 Nestabilities. The edges of the frame were sponged with Peeled Paint Distress Ink. The frame was stamped with the Cracked background stamp from the Background Fun Stamp Set. A bow made with Mahogany Satin Ribbon adhered to the frame with a glue dot. More Split Pea Rhinestones were adhered to the top of the frame as well as the bottom right of the card front.

The sentiment is from Owl Be There. It was stamped in Walnut Stain Distress Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut out with Petite Oval Nestabilities and sponged with Dried Marigold Distress Ink. It was adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

mfpf4a16owlbirthdayinside.jpg

For the inside of the card a 1 3/4″ x 3 15/16″ piece of Early Bird patterned paper was stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 3/16″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. The main image along with it’s layers was adhered in the center so you can see it to the window of the card front.

Today’s tutorial on Splitcoast is written by new tutorial writer Kim Score. She shows us a different kind of slider card. I created my sample with My Favorite Things Sunshiny Day. The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was colored in with Copic Markers (E000, E01, E11, YG25, YG17, R24, R29, Y17, YR16, BG07,  BG09). the image was cut with Label 13 Nestabilities. It was layered on a slightly bigger piece of Basic Black cardstock and hand cut around it. The background was airbrushed with Copic Marker B00.

mftsummertslidebeate.jpg

The card base is a 4 5/8″ x 9 1/4″ piece of Textured Old Olive cardstock folded in half. The edges of a  4″ square of  Thrift Store October Afternoon Paper were sanded and stitched to a 4 1/4″ black cardstock square. Red Gingham Ribbon was tied around the right side of the layers. Red Rhinestones were added to the top left corner.

mftsummertslideopen.jpg

When pulling on a tab on the right, the image lifts up and a hidden message appears. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped on Neenah Solar White cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. It was cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities and the inside was colored with Copic B00.
