Wow, Beate! The Easter Bunny is early this year! Thanks so much for the chance to win! I don’t have any of these in my stash, and would be excited to have them! Have a great weekend!

Kathy, please contact me because this widget doesn’t let me see email address nor url that was posted in. Needless to say I won’t be using that Mr. Linky anymore. I will wait until next Saturday. If I don’t hear from Kathy until then, I will pick another winner.

Thanks so much for everyone willing to give my older stamps a new home. Have a great day!

Today’s Waltzingmouse sketch challenge is to create mini cards. How fun is that? As inspiration for my cards I used this Tuesday’s Trigger challenge.

I LOVED the color combo and composition of the piece and kept it all. My cards are tiny 3″ x 3″ cards. They were created out of 3″ x 6″ Solar White cardstock folded in half.

I started by stamping a label from Very Vintage Label No. 4 in Broken China Distress Ink.  I stamped a different sentiment into the frame of each card with the same ink. All sentiments are from the Fancy Phrases set.

The border stamp from Victorian Frippery was stamped in Spiced Marmelade on the right edge of the cards. The left side of the card was embossed with the Damask Embossing Folder.

After making the cards I decided to make a matching note card tote, following this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.  It’s simple and almost like the cards. I did use a bigger frame from the Very Vintage Label set and added a little scroll on the top and bottom of the sentiment.

The top corners of the box were punched with the Crop-a-Dile Cloud Chomper. The handle is a 3 /4″ x 8″ piece of Pumpkin pie. It was adhered to the outside of the box with silver brads. This way you can move the handle back while adding the cards into the box (this cool hint was posted under the video tutorial).

Here is a video (with a different box that I will share later) for the visual learner:

Welcome to Whimsy’s April Digi Release Blog Hop. The digi team was sweet enough to let me hop along with them. The new digital images are so amazing, I had to hop along. If you are coming from Melissa’s blog you are right on track. For a listing of all blogs involved in this blog hop, please check the Whimsy Inspirations Blog, where the hop started.

Please leave comments along the way as there will be two mystery DT members who will each be choosing a winner from the comments left on their hop posts! The winners will each win one Whimsy digi image of their choice.

The Grand Prize winner of the hop chosen from the very last stop, which is Cheryl’s Blog will receive 5 new digital stamps of their choice from Whimsy, and will also get a chance to use those new digital images as a guest designer for Whimsy for the entire month of February

Isn’t this deer the cutest thing ever? It was combined with the Meadow background to create this scene. The image was printed out on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut with Petite Oval Nestabilities and colored with Copic Markers ( Deer: E07, E08, E09    Deer Spots: E30, E31, E33    Hooves & Nose: N5, N7    Ear: R00, R20, R21    Scarf: RV10, RV63, RV55   Flowers: Y13, Y15,  Y17, YR18, E37    small flowers: RV63, RV55    leaves: YG01, YG03, YG05   Grass YG61, YG63, YG67     Toadstool: R08, R27, R29, E50, E51, E53     sky: BG0000, BG000, BG01).

The image was layered on a piece of Really Rust cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Beaded Oval Nestabilties dies and colored with Copic Marker E07 to match the deer. The edges of the oval were paper pierced.

A 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Pink Paislee’s Hometown Summer paper pack was stitched to a 4″ x  5 1/4″ piece of the same paper pack after the lower two corners were rounded with the corner chomper (love that tool). May Arts ribbon was tied around the vertical strip before the layers were adhered to the card base, a 4 1/4″ x 11″ piece of Solar white cardstock, folded in half. The card base also had the lower two corners rounded.

Before the image was adhered with dimensionals, a Recollection Rhinestone swirl was adhered to the top right of the card. The sentiment is from Whimsy’s Treasured Moments Ticket stamp set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on a piece of Solar White cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Petite Oval Nestabilities. The embossed part of the oval was colored with Copic Marker RV10.

Hop on over to Sylvia’s blog to see what she has created. Good luck with the prize drawings!

I created this card for today’s JustRite Stampers Color Challenge. The inspiration piece is a beautiful bed cover shown in this picture. It also worked great for yesterday’s Way to Use it Challenge on Splitcoast, Flower Frenzy.

Doesn’t that just scream Springtime? I hope Ohio hears that scream….because on Wednesday, I created this card while snow was falling.  It didn’t stay on the ground, thank goodness, but really? Snow at the end of March? No thank you!

For my card I decided to use a frame from the Fancy Label Cling set with an image from the Breath of Spring set. The frame was stamped first in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, It was then masked and the tulip bouquet from Breath of Spring was stamped in the same color.

The image was colored with Copic Markers (Tulips: YR61, YR65, YR68   Y21, Y23, Y38    Leaves: YG61, YG63, YG67   Bow and tag: B60, B63    Shading and Frame: YR30, 1/5th YR31 (custom made marker), YR31) and cut out with Label 18 Nestabilities (those just came in that day! Perfect timing).

After coloring I went on the hunt for the perfect paper. I looked through my entire stash trying to find matching blue paper, but couldn’t find a thing. I guess I need more paper, LOL?

I finally settled on a 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″ strip of Material Girl green paper from Cosmo Cricket stitched on a 3 3/4″ x 5 /12″ piece of Cosmo Cricket Ever After paper. 1/2 a doily was adhered to the top and White Organdy Ribbon was tied around the green paper strip. The ribbon was heated with a heat gun to age it and topped with a Vintage Brad from Stampin’ Up!. A second brad was placed over it.

The image was adhered over the ribbon with dimensionals. A Recollections Pearl Swirl was cut up. The big part was adhered on the top left , the small piece was adhered to the lower right of the image.

The sentiment is from the Cling set Fancy Tags. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink (just noticed I did a booboo and didn’t stamp that in Rich Cocoa. DUH) on a piece of Solar White cardstock cut and embossed with the smallest die from the Tag Trio set. The embossed part of the tag was colored with Copic Marker B60.

I hope you have time to play in this challenge. To participate, make a card, upload it and post a link on the JustRite Inspiration blog. Please visit the other designers that prepared samples for you:
