Remember when I posted a few cards in the beginning of this month and said they were in a magazine? Well….the magazine arrived at my house. I was super excited to see that one of the cards made it on the front page. How SWEET is that? Each  card got their own page. It looks pretty awesome.

I sent a magazine to each of the stamp companies that I used for the samples and have one left over. The magazines are Norwegian, so unless you speak that language (I can’t!), you can only look at pictures. But if you would like one of the magazines, just add your url to the Mr. Linky underneath.

Have a wonderful Sunday afternoon!

New tutorial author Patty Bombyk created a Paper Bead tutorial and is sharing it on Splitcoast today. I shot a quick video to accompany her photo tutorial.

My goal for today is getting back into stamping and making at least one card.

Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

I am back from CHA. It was wonderful to see old friends and meet Splitcoast members. I had a great time. Now I am finally starting to get into a routine. Hopefully soon I am back to daily posting.

Because of my move and the CHA right after, I am quite a bit late in announcing the winner of the signed Copic book as well as the stamp set I raffled away last month.

For the Copic book Random.org picked entry #38. That’s Kimerbly Sudol:

BEAUTIFUL card!! I LOOOVE your coloring!! My favorite color combo is E000, E00, E11 & R20 for coloring faces! Thank you for the chance to win this book!! I would LOVE to get better at coloring with my Copics!

For the JustRite stamp set winner Random.org picked #5. That’s Regina, aka. Mrs. Ham.

Thanks so much for all the entries and sweet comments. Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

My last sample for CHA is another Circle Easel card.

The card base was cut out of Imperial Core’dination cardstock with Grand Scallop Circle Nestabilities die.

The images ware from Unity’s  City of Love. They were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with Grand Circle Nestabilities. The image was colored with Copic Markers (N0, N1, N3, Y13, Y15, Y17, R27, R39, YG03). The image was masked and airbrushed with Copic Marker B02.

For the inside of the card a piece of white cardstock along with some Echo Park Playground paper were cut with a Grand Circle Nestabilities die. Between the patterned paper and the white cardstock a piece of black cardstock adhered, that had been cut and embossed with a Scalloped Borderabilities die.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

Here is another sample I am showing at CHA.

The image is from from MFT’s Pure Innocence Blooming Good Day. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White and once more on Echo Park Playground paper. The image on white cardstock was cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Hair: Y23, E33, E37   Red: R08, R27, R29   Flower: Y13, Y15, Y17, E99, E29   Grass: YG01, YG03, YG17    Skin: E50, E51, E53) The dress of the second image was colored for a bit of shading with Copic Markers (YR00, YR12, YR15) , cut out and adhered to the main image.

The image was masked, a few clouds were cut with the Cloud Dienamic dies out of Eclipse tape, adhered to the circle and airbrushed Copic Marker B02. The circle was adhered to a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with one of the Jumbo Scallop Circle Nestabilities die. The edge of the circle was paper pierced.

The card base was cut and embossed with a Grand Label 11 Nestabilities die out of Neenah Solar White cardstock. Echo Park Springtime and Playground paper were cut with the next smaller size. Before they were adhered to the card base May Arts Organdy ribbon was tied the horizontal strip.

The sentiment was stamped on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Circle Nestabilities die. The center of the embossed circle was colored with Copic Marker B0000. The sentiment panel was adhered to the upper right edge of the image with dimensionals. Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones underneath the sentiment finish off the card.

Today is the first day at the CHA Supershow.  Splitcoast will have a booth there and for a couple of hours each day, I will be demoing samples that focus on Grand Nestabilities dies and Copic Markers. You know that I love both. I hope everyone will like the samples I created for the show.

Here is one of the samples I will be showing:

The card base and Webster’s Pages patterned paper were cut and embossed with Grand Label 4 Nestabilities dies. The card base was scored so that the points of the ends of the card base. The patterned paper was cut apart. The center was adhered to the inside, the points tosides of the gate fold card.

The sentiment is from Unity’s Webster’s Pages Every Moment Stamp set. It was stamped in Jet Black Archival Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. The sentiment was cut out with one of the Petite Oval Nestabilities dies. The oval was sponged with Antique Linen Distress ink. The image from the same set was stamped to the lower right with Antique Linen before the oval was adhered to a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with a Scallop Petite Oval Nestabilities die.

The gatefold card was tied shut with May Arts Silk ribbon. The oval layer was adhered over the ribbon with dimensionals. To open the card the ribbon can just be slid off.

I created this card for a color challenge back in February while cyber stamping in with Jenn one night. I started out with a stamp from Crafty Secrets Floral Art. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Classic Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Flowers: RV10, 13, 14, YR12, Yr15, E33, E25, RV000, RV10, Berries: RV19, RV69, Leaves: YG11, YG13 + YG01, YG03, YG17, Background: BBV0000, BV31, BV23).  It was layered on a piece of black cardstock, cut and embossed with Classic Scallop Oval Nestabilities die and the edges of the image of the image were paper pierced.

A 2″ x  3 3/4″ piece of light pink Echo Park Springtime paper was adhered vertically  to a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of pink paper from the same collection. A 2″ x 5″ green piece of the Springtime paper was adhered horizontally over both layers.  All corners but the top left were rounded before the layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock, after Melissa Frances White Lace was taped over the horizontal layer.. The matching corners were rounded as well.

May Arts Gingham ribbon was tied around the vertical layer and topped with a Pearl Recollection Brad. Before the image was adhered to the layers with dimensionals, half of a doily was adhered under it.

All layers were adhered to the card base, a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ piece of Solar White cardstock folded in half. Again three of the four corners were rounded. Snow Kaisercraft Pearls finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful time.

I created this Genie bag back in February for a class at my local Scrapbook store.  I used Memory Box papers to cover a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ cardstock piece. The cardstock was cut 3/4″ from one end to create the slanted look. May Arts lace was adhered over the horizontal strip.

Memory Box Circle Word Background was stamped in Rich Cocoa Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut embossed with Circle Nestabilities die. The inner part of the circle was airbrushed with Copic Marker YG01. It was adhered to a scallop circle cut out of Neenah Canyon Brown cardstock.

Memory Box Coco Bean Butterfly was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers (Y15, Y17, Y38, R05, R08, E09), cut out and adhered with Scor-Tape and dimensionals to the center of the circular layers. A bow created out of May Arts ribbon was topped with a Recollection brad and adhered to the lower left to the circle.

Two 5 1/2″ long strips of white cardstock were cut with Faux Crochet Die-namics die and adhered to the top of the cardstock/paper layers.  May Arts Brown Satin ribbon was adhered about 1″ in on each end of the paper layers to form a handle.

The cardstock pieces were adhered to a small lunch bag that had been cut down to a 4″ square to create a purse treat bag.

Just a little update. Our drive down to Oklahoma went well. We got there on the 4th of July. We signed for our house and got our goods the next day. We have been emptying boxes and trying to make the new house a home ever since. Thursday we will finally get internet at home. We CAN’T wait!!!!

We still have to enroll the kids in school, find a driving school for my oldest and next week I will be gone to Chicago for CHA. I hope to get back into a routine when I get home from that.

I love the heat and blue skies here in Oklahoma. It’s so nice to be back in the South!
Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

P.S.: I typed the post at Chick-Fil-A. Thank goodness for free wireless home. Chick-Fil-A …. the office away from home.

I created this card for a VSN challenge back in February. It was a sketch challenge. When I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to use a bold flower and only stamp it partially in four squares.

Four squares were cut and embossed out of Neenah Solar White cardstock with Classic Square Nestabilities. The Flower from Technique Tuesday’s Thanks for Everything was stamped on to the squares with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Each flower was colored with different Copic Markers (Blue Flower: B21, B23, B26,    Yellow Flower: Y13, Y15, Y17,    Red Flower: R20, R21, R22,     Green Flower: YG01, YG03, YG17,   Flower Center: E41, E42, E43, E44).The edges of the squares were paper pierced.

The two bottom corners of a 4″ x 5″ piece of Echo Park Springtime Paper was stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of black cardstock. The layers were adhered to a 4 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.  The squares were adhered to the card base with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped on the paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Silver Recollection Pearls finish off the card.
