This is another card I created for a VSN challenge back in March. It was an inspiration challenge.  I chose to pick the heart and the colors from the inspiration piece.

For my card I stamped the image from MFT’s Pure Innocence – Love You with all my heart in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. I stamped it again once on the orange and the pink paper from Echo Park Springtime paper. The image on the white cardstock was cut and embossed with Classic Oval Nestabilities die.

The images were then colored with Copic Markers (dress: YR82, YR12, YR15, YR18, Shoes, heart and hair pin: RV10, RV21, RV23, RV25, Skin: E50, E51, E53, Hair: E15, E19, E18, Grass: YG11, YG13, YG17). From the orange paper, the dress was cut, from the pink the hair clip, the heart and the shoes. The paper pieces were run through my little Xyron and adhered to the main image. The image on the white cardstock was adhered to a piece of black cardstock that had been cut and embossed with Beaded Oval Nestabilities die. The edges of the image was paper pierced.

A 4″ long strip of white cardstock was cut with the Little Open Scallop Strip Die-namic die and adhered under a 3″ x 4″ piece of Echo Park Springtime Paper. The layers were stitched to a 4 3/16″ x 5 1/8″ piece of black cardstock. May Arts Gingham ribbon was tied around the horizontal layers and was topped with a Pink Paislee Queen Bee brad. The layers were adhered to the card base, a piece of 4 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Sour Apple cardstock folded in half. Silver Recollections Pearls finish ed off the card.

For this card I stamped Kraftin’ Kimmie’s Drucilla in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a 3″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. The image was colored with Copic Markers (Hair: Y11, E31, E33, Skin: YR000, YR00, YR01, YR02, Stocking, dress trim: RV42, R32, R35, Dress: G21, YG63, YG67, Stuffed Animal: B41, B52, B45, Shoes: C5, C7, C9, Ground: YG63, YG67, E31, E33, T4, Background: B0000).

The image was layered on a slightly bigger piece of Welsh Blue cardstock and the edges of the image were paper pierced. A black piece of cardstock was cut and embossed with the Scallop Frame Nestabilities die and the image layers were adhered. Silver Recollection pearls were adhered to the pin heads as well as in the center of each bow on Drucilla’s hair.

Three buttons (2 October Afternoon, 1 Cosmo Cricket) were stitched to the lower left corner with silver cording. Two May Arts Trinket pins were added underneath the buttons.  A bow was tied out of 1″ wide pink silk ribbon. A white button was tied around the bow with silver cording. The same cording holds the sentiment.

The sentiment is from Kraftin’ Kimmie Sassy Sentiments. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed with Spellbinders Tag die.

Two 4 3/8″ wide strips of Cosmo Cricket Material Girl paper were adhered to a 4 3/8″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Material girl paper. The layers were stitched to a 3/8″ bigger piece of black cardstock. The card base is 5″ x 12″ piece of Textured Kraft cardstock folded in half.

I love this image from Mo’s Digital Pencil. The girl looks so cute, happy and content. I printed her on Neenah Solar White cardstock and embossed the image with Label 9 Nestabilities die and colored her with Copic Markers (Dress: Y11, Y15, Y17, T1, Strawberries: R22, R24, R27, R29, R59, Leaves of strawberries: G12, G14, G17, Skin: R000, R01, R02, Hair: T5, T7, T9, Shoes: G12, G14, G17, T3, R22, R24, R29, Cord: E44, E47, Grass: YG03, YG17, YG67, W3).

Three clouds cut with the Cloud Die-namics out of Tim Holtz Mask sheets and adhered to the image. It was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG10. The layer was adhered to a piece of black cardstock which was cut by hand (since I used the largest die to cut the image). The edges of the image layer were paper pierced.

A 1 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ strip of October Afternoon Thrift Store Paper was adhered to a 4 3/4″ square of the same paper pack. On top of that a 2″ strip of a different design from the same pack was adhered. The layers were stitched to the card base, a 5″ x 10″ piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, folded in half.

May Arts Gingham Ribbon was tied around the middle strip and topped with a retired Pink Paislee Brad. The sentiment is from Verve’s Framed Wishes stamp set. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed with a Tag die from Spellbinders. It was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG10 and attached to the brad with May Arts Iridescent Curling Ribbon.

Recollections Rhinestone swirls over and under the bow finish off the card. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! Hugs and smiles

I created this card back in February for a Technique Challenge. I remember making this box card a long time ago. The page that I got the instructions from became inactive and I hadn’t written them down. I liked it so much, I created a tutorial for the resource section for it.

I started out stamping Whiff of Joy’s Strawberry Girl in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock.  The image was cut and embossed with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Flowers: Y13, Y15, Y17 C2,  Leaves: YG01, YG03, YG17, Egg: 1/5 YR31 + 4/5 Blending solution, YR31, Skin: YR000, YR00, YR01, YR02, Hair: E08, E18, E19, Shirts: R20, R21, R22, background: BG0000, BG10).

A piece of Canyon Brown cardstock cut and embossed with Scallop Petite Oval Nestabilities die. The image was adhered to the scalloped oval and the edges were paper pierced.

The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy’s Magical Wishes. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut and embossed with a Spellbinders tag die. It was adhered to the right hand side of the image and topped with three Zva Creative Flowers.

The card box base was created out of a 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of October Afternoon Fly A Kite paper. Two strips of white cardstock were cut with the Faux Crochet Die-namics Border die. The strips were adhered under the side flaps of the box.

A 2″ wide strip of Fly A Kite October Afternoon paper was used to create the Belly Band. A doily was adhered to it’s front before the image layers were adhered to dimensionals.

A 3 7/8″ white square was decorated with a slim strip of matching paper to finish of the box card.

Back in February I made this card. I liked it so much, I had to case myself. For this sample I used Meljen’s adorable FREE digital image Sweet Little Donkey.

It was printed on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut with the largest Circle Nestabilities die and colored with Copic Markers (Light Donkey Colors: W1, W3, W5, Dark donkey Colors: W5, W7, W9, Nose: E93, E95, E97, E99, Earls and hearts: E95, E97, E99, grass: YG41, YG45).

Another piece of Solar White cardstock was cut and embossed with the largest Beaded Circle Nestabilities die and airbrushed with Copic Marker W9. The image circle was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG11 before it was adhered to the beaded circle. The edges of the image circle were paper pierced.  Two buttons (one S.E.I., one October Afternoon) were stitched to the left hand side of the image circle.

The card base is a piece of Solar White cardstock cut and embossed with one of the Label 4 Grand Nestabilities die and scored it in half. Two pieces of Fine and Dandy- True Blue paper was cut with the next size smaller Label 4 Grand die. The strip was adhered to the larger piece before ribbon (unknown origin) was adhered over strip. The layers were stitched to the card front and the image layers were adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

A bow was tied with the help of the Bow-Easy out of May Arts Organdy Ribbon and topped with a Cosmo Cricket Button.  The button was tied on to the bow with the sentiment. The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps Handmade letter Seals. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a tag cut and embossed out of Neenah cardstock. The tag was airbrushed with Copic Marker BG11.

Isn’t this the cutest image? It is from a There She Goes Clear Stamp set called Back in 10. I absolutely adore those bears. I stamped them on Neenah Solar White cardstock in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it with Copic Markers (Big Bear: E97, E99, E19, Ears and Nose: E02, E04, Little Bear: E42, E43, E44, Hammock: R24, R29, R39, Trees: E35, E37, E39, Leaves: YG01, YG03, Sign: E51, E53, E55, Grass: YG23, YG25, YG17, Sky: BG0000, BG10, BG11).

The image was cut with Square Nestabilities and layered first on a slightly bigger square cut and embossed out of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then on a Neenah Canyon Brown cardstock piece cut and embossed with Scallop Square Nestabilities.

The card base is 4 1/2″ x 9″ piece of Core’dinations cardstock scored at 2 1/4″ and 4 1/2″.

Two 1 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ pieces of October Afternoon Campfire pieces were sewn to 3/16″ bigger pieces of Canyon brown cardstock and adhered to the side panels. The image was adhered to the card base with dimensionals on the left panel.

A bow was tied out of Crinkled Ribbon with the Bow-Easy and topped with a October Afternoon Campfire button. The ribbon was adhered to the lower left corner of the image panel.

The sentiment is also from the set Back in 1o. It was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock and cut and embossed with the smallest Petite Oval Nestabilities dies and colored with Copic Markers BG0000, BG10.  Two stitches were added with brown embroidery floss before the oval was adhered to the upper right hand side of the image panel.

For the inside of the card a 4″ square of white cardstock was adhered to a 1/4″ bigger piece of Canyon Brown cardstock. A frame was cut with Label 15 and Circle Nestabilities out of Campfire October Afternoon paper and adhered to the cardstock layers. The inner edge of the circle was paper pierced and another sentiment from Back 1o was stamped on the left hand side of the circle.

I created this card as a submission for the Norwegian magazine Ett Trykk. I used one of the images from the June Stamp Kit- Fun in the Sun. I stamped her twice in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, once on Neenah Solar White cardstock, once on Whiff of Joy Patterned Paper Fruehlingserwachen.

The dress of the image on the patterned paper was colored with Copic Markers (BG72, BG75 and BG78), cut out and paper pieced to the main image, which was colored with Copic Markers (Skin: E000, E01, E02, Hair: E97, E99, E19, Shirt: YG01, YG03, YR15, YR14, E99, Shoes: YG01, YG03, Book: E41, E42, E43). The main image was cut out as well.

A piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock turned into a frame by cutting and embossing it with Classic Circle and Lacey Circle Nestabilities dies. Another piece of the Paper Fruehlingserwachen was adhered behind it. The image was adhered to the frame with dimensionals.

The edges of a  1 3/4″ x 4″ strip of Fruehlingserwachen paper were slightly sanded and adhered to a 4″ square of the same paper pack. White Melissa Frances Lace was adhered underneath the strip before the layers were stitched to a 4 3/16″ square of Whisper White cardstock.  Next everything was adhered to a 4 1/2″ square of textured Kraft cardstock.

I dyed some off-white seam binding with Frayed Burlap Distress Re-inker and water and tied it into a bow with the Bow Easy.  The sentiment is from the same stamp kit and was stamped on a tag that had been cut with a retired Spellbinders die. The tag was airbrushed with Copic Marker E42. A jump ring was added to the top of the tag and it was tied to the bow with embroidery floss and a My Mind’s Eye button. Three Silver Kaisercraft Rhinestones were adhered above the tag and a Recollections Rhinestone swirl was adhered to the upper right hand side.

The card front was adhered to an Easel card base, a 4 1/2″ x 9″ piece of textured Kraft cardstock, scored at 2 1/4″ and 4 1/2″.  For the inside of the card the edges of a 1 3/4″ x 4″ piece of patterned paper were sanded, then adhered to a 4 1/4″ piece of White cardstock. More of the white lace was adhered on top of the paper strip and the edges were stitched. Three buttons were stitched to the lower right hand side of the layer before it was adhered to the card base.
