I was cyber stamping with Heather again on Wednesday. It’s so much more fun then stamping alone. We decided to create a card for this weeks CPS sketch.

She was done in no time at all with a gorgeous card. Me….not so much. I already had Whimsy’s Journey into the Sea image stamped and colored sitting here. But because I had used such bright colors (sorry…I colored it in August, when Jenn and Lori where here. Jenn suggested the colors and I forgot to write them down.) I had the hardest time finding paper that worked.

I started by cutting out the mermaid and adding Diamond Stickles to her hair. Next I cut and embossed  a piece of Fancy Pants Beach Babe paper with the largest of the Circle Nestabilities die. It was adhered to a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with the largest of the new Tear drop Circle Nestabilities. The mermaid was adhered to that with dimensionals.

Usually I don’t like to mix papers from different packs on one card, but I had to look everywhere to find colors that worked. a 2 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Echo Park Country Drive paper was airbrushed with Copic Marker RV25. The edges were sanded before it was stitched to a 3 15/16″ x 5 1/16″ piece of another Echo Park collection paper.

An orange 3 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Pebbles Happy Go Lucky paper was sanded and the edges were stitched. It was adhered with dimensionals to the Echo Park paper layers. All layers were adhered to the card base, a 5″ x 11″ piece of Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with the second smallest Grand Label 23 Nestabilities die.

A sentiment from Whimsy’s Magical Whimsy Seals was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a piece of white cardstock, cut and embossed with a Classic Circle Nestabilities die. The Seal was airbrushed with Copic Marker Y15. Baby Bling Rhinestones and part of a Finesse swirl finish off the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend.
