It’s time for me to host Timeless Tuesday again. I had so much fun creating a Telescoping image card for a Splitcoaststampers challenge a while back, I thought it would be a great challenge for today. Flourishes stamps are perfect for that technique. I wrote a quick tutorial that is posted on the Flourishes blog today, but it’s an easy technique.
For my sample I used the gorgeous new Pears stamp set again. I stamped the image twice in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Neenah Solar White cardstock. It was cut into three layers with Label 3 Nestabilities dies, colored with Copic Markers (Pears: 1/5th YR31, YR31, YR23, YG61, E33 Leaves: YG61, YG63, YG67, 1/5th YR31 branches:E33, E37, E29 Bloom: C00, C02, R81, YG61) and sponged first with Antique Linen, then with Vintage Photo Distress ink. Before the layers were adhered together with dimensionals, a border was stitched to the bottom layer.

A 4 1/2″ long strip of white cardstock was cut with MFT’s Faux Crochet Die-namic Die and adhered under a 2 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ piece of MME Lost and Found Market Street Patterned paper. The strips were adhered to a 4 1/2″ square of the same paper pack before the layers were stitched to a 3/16″ bigger piece of white cardstock. White Organdy ribbon was tied around the horizontal strip and topped with a Basic Grey button, tied on with Linen Thread. The layers were adhered to the card base, a 5″ x 10″ piece of Kraft cardstock, folded in half.
The image layers were adhered to a piece of Kraft cardstock, that had been cut and embossed with the largest Postage Stamp Nestabilities dies. A paper doily was adhered behind the Kraft cardstock layer before the image was adhered to the card base with dimensionals. A sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black in on Neenah Solar White cardstock, cut and embossed with a Petite Oval Nestabilities die and sponged with Vintage Photo Ink.

The inside of the card was kept really simple. A strip of Market street paper stitched to a 4 3/4″ square of white cardstock. One of the smaller images from the Pears stamp set was stamped in second generation of Vintage Photo Distress ink.
I hope you have time participate in the challenge. I promise, it is not a hard technique and it looks really cool. Thanks so much for stopping by!
