As for flowers, I mostly layer mine using paper, especially if it is a card that I will be putting in the mail. I also love making them with felt. Pretty.

I love making all kinds of flowers with all kinds of different papers. I think my favorite is cutting/punching out the flower shapes in graduating sizes, scrunching them up and layering them to make the flower. And of course they need some glimmer or glitter to set them off. Happy Easter everyone!! And thank you Beate for your generous Easter basket!

Happy Easter My favorite way to make flowers is using punching out flower shapes, running them through an embossing folder and layering the punched out paper shapes. Great blog candy I would love to win, my favorite tool is embossing folders. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My favorite way of making flowers is using my diecuts and then layering and shaping them. I also like the flowers you make by folding circles and squares into little triangles.
My favorite flower is the tulip … it is the harbinger of Spring and they just seem to smile at you!

I like to make flowers using punches then scrunching the paper until the layers separate, smooching and embellishing with rhinestones or pearls. And my favorite real life flower? Well, that is difficult, I like them all………..colors, colors, colors. Pansies, roses, petunias, ranunculus, daisies, poppies, lavendar, azaleas, begonias, oh my!

This is such a wonderful blog candy – someone is going to be very happy! I love everything in the collection! My favorite flowers are the blooming trees now everywhere here in WI – especially the magnolia, apple and llilac trees – they are beautiful and the scent is lovely! I also love the cut flower arrangements of daisies, tulips, iris, etc. I guess I just love flowers and have great fun creating them all – with layering of different shapes being my favorite! I like to use my punches and dies to make flowers. in real life I like all flowers that are yellow or white …. here’s a funny fact ……. when I had my son my husband sent me a big bouquet of white and yellow flowers and the nurse brought them in and said they must have forgotten to tint the flowers blue for boy. I said NO, my husband knows me well white and yellow flowers are my favorite.

I LOVE the new paper flower trend and hope it is here to stay. My favorite technique right now is using punches/or dies, spray with water, scrunch, scrunch, dry with heat tool, then mist with a sparkly spritz like Smooch. Attach a pretty brad or glitter button to the middle, add a couple of crimped, scrunched, misted leaves and voila…I am a happy girl! I hope you are having a blessed Easter. Diane

Happy Easter Beate!! My favorite way to create flowers at the moment is to cut the paper, dampen it with water and roll them. I’ve seen some done with dress lining that was “heated” with a candle flame that I’d love to try out one of these days. My favorite real flower is the Peony 🙂

I have made flowers many different ways and I can’t decide which way I like the best. I also use purchased flowers on some of my projects and they are beautiful, too. But my favorite real flower has to be hydrangea. It is a cluster of tiny flowers which, altogether, makes up a large, beautiful blossom.

Beate: What a wonderful offer to all of us crafters who love making flowers. I mostly use dies with many different kinds of paper, layer, glitter, scrunch, etc. I am just starting to learn to roll them and have a Cheery Lynn die and a Spellbinders die to practice with. Those I use on gifts or cards that are hand carried. I love poppies, daisies, roses……to hard to pick a favorite.

I love lillies of the valley because of their fragrance and the fact that they remind me of my mother who passed away . . . my sister and I picked bouquets of them along with violets to give Mom for Mother’s Day. I like to punch out flower shapes and layer them.

I really love to craft with all types of flowers; I do however especially like the ones you can layer and perhaps stencil with colours. I also colour paper with Prismacolor pencils/Gamsol etc that make some great effects then cut out shapes to make flowers with.
My favourite flower is the Lily – the fragrance and freshness just makes me smile.
I recently made some paper flowers out of coffee filters dyed with Ranger distress inks – I cut out layers of the filters using a scallop die, colored them and scrunched them. I love how they looked, so I think I will make some more like that! Thanks for the chance to win, and Happy Easter!

I like creating flowers using the Spellbinder dies.
I save paper towels that I use to clean my craft sheet. Sprays make very colorful towels! Take the dry towels and run them through a die – like Tattered Florals from Tim Holts. beauteous!

Hi, please enter me for your blog candy. I like to either punch or diecut my flowers and use a stylus to shape them and then layer, using paper. one time I did make them from satin using the th sizzix flower die and used the heat gun to melt and curl the edges on a couple cards. thanks for a chance to win some awesome eye candy!!

Happy Easter! I make my flowers by using a big, flat, four leaf flower and putting a big button on top of it. I then use a bit twine to make a bow… Somtimes on the sides there are also small papper flowers.

The best for me is using text weight paper, cut them with a die but, soften them with an embossing tool and then layer them. I have a few different flowers I make, so depends which die I use. Usually turn out pretty well. Had a good teacher. Edna

I tend to make the ones that you wet and scrunch up. In the end they look like roses or buds. Honestly though I will buy then before I make them, less mess and time.

oh god this is a fun question to answer! I am always making my own flowers and I absolutely love making the layered ones, petal by petal.. both by fabric and paper. There are just SO many possibilities with the individual petals one, just change your embossing technique and you could end up with a totally different type of flower!

Thanks for more wonderful blog candy. I love to make layered paper flowers so that I can match the dp on the card. Paper flowers can also be glittered, spritzed with Glimmer Mist etc depending on the occaision for the card.
I just use flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts or make them with SU punches.
My favorite: the daffodil as it heralds Spring.

I make flowers several ways, some are done with punches and layered, some with dies, I haven’t made one of the rolled flowers , don’t have that die. On my Easter cards I used Memory Box die tulips. love that flower. Cuttle bug folders are my favorite, I love them for so many ideas,for background. Hi Beate, I love to make flowers by punching out Designer Paper (Stampin’ UP) scallop circles or flower punches, wetting them, then folding in half several times. I then scrunch it up a bit more, then unfold and let it dry. I think this makes a beautiful distressed or vintage flower look. I add a punched circle or brad in the center. I personally like to use different techniques of making my flowers. I roll them, I also use ribbons and sometimes even stamps to color them as well. My favorite flowers are roses both to work with and make as well as my personal favorite to be given to.

I recently got some flower punches and some dies to make rolled flowers, so I’m just learning, but I can tell already I love the dimension of the rolled ones. I love bouquets with all kinds of lowers together best, but for a single flower, Gerbera Daisies and Lilacs are great stand-alones. I love to make flowers by using punches with old paper, like dictionary pages or similar. I love the effect of the wording on the petals and layering them with a button in the centre. In real life my favourite flowers would be sweet peas, for their divine scent.

I love flowers! I like paper and fabric flowers…. I love to watch video on how to make them, but when I’m ready to make them I get confused…… end up buying them done!

My favorite flower is the baby pink rose…I’ve created flowers with punches, I’ve also created quilled flowers of all kinds, daisies, roses etc…I’ve crocheted flowers also, I’ve cut spirals by hand and made handmade roses…I love all kinds of flowers as they do so much to embellish a project…thank you for giving us the chance to win…hugs…

The only way I’ve made flowers is to punch or die cut several of the same shape, mist with water, scrunch, and then layer. They always turn out cute, but I’m needing to branch out and attempt other ways. I’ve been wanting to attempt making flower with ribbon.

My favorite flowers in real life – roses and clematis. The postcards I do handmade flowers from of corded ribbon, paper roses and hydrangeas, flowers of cherry I also really like , and the roses in the technique of квиллинг. Embossed floral pattern, too, like on other people’s work, did not try to do… Very tasty candy! Register perhaps 🙂
Ahh, flowers, my favorite, I love making my own, what I can do so far anyway, Still learning, and as far as my favorite live flowers, I love so many, but this time of the year, I have to say I love my Calla lilies, they are just so elegant looking to me. I have made a few of those in paper, but just not happy with the results yet, but i have not given up . I like using the punch bunch punches and making my own, and using other various dies, right now there is one flower from a Marianne die that I like using, I punch out the flowers, mist them with water, shape them around something circular (the petals), then heat dry them to get them to hold what shape I like, then color them with what ever venue I like, and use Brads or glue to hold them together, as each flower usually has at least 5-7 layers, and also vary my stamens to get different type looks, sometimes I also use PP, to vary my results, and also Vellum. I just keep experimenting. Making flowers is one of my favorite hobbies, roses, carnations, pansies,and I try to learn all types from many different sources of media, Blogs, You tube, there is a WEALTH of information out there, it is just supplies I usually run out of, and I try and use EVERYTHING, coffee filters, cupcake paper liners, books, always trying to think outside the box, and I don’t just used flower dies, something other dies work well too, some border dies make lovely flowers. .

Hi Beate! Hope u & family had wonderful Easter. Just visited your blog and saw that blog candy..WOW! I am in love with making flowers. I punch layers or die cut them. I sponge the edges and sometimes rubber stamp an image on the layers. After layering them, I love crumbling up the petals to give them an edgy type design. I add an interesting center like Tim Holtz’ hitch fastener and attach a swivel chain that hangs from the middle.

I love flower stamps but can’t wait to try making some rolled felt flowers! Right now my favorite flowers are the tiny forget-me-nots blooming underneath the beautiful magnolia tree in my aunt’s yard. This will be the last year to enjoy them…I’m here to clear her house and ready it for sale.

I like flowers on cards but I am rubbish at creating realistic ones – I usually use made ones or die cute some layer them up and try to give them some dimension. Rolled flowers always look lovely but would not survive the UK post bags!

I like to die cut my flowers then add some color on the edges. My favorite flower is a violet, because of the color and the scent. I just love your cards, you inspire me to greater things everyday. Thanks again for sharing.
My favorite way is to take already made paper flowers and sprigs or ink them. I also like to paint on them. My favorite real flower is the bluebonnet. Driving through the hills of Texas and seeing them in the pastures is gorgeous. You have a Happy Easter.

To be honest, I do not like getting too dimensional with my flowers because it turns into more trips to the PO for shipping. I like to Keep them at an extra layer that is popped. Rolled flowers, however gorgeous, work better on a 3D project for me. My favorite flower has changed over the last couple years, and is now the Orchid. I have started having great luck growing them! Wow, what great blog candy!!!! I like just about any way of making flowers, but I if I had to pick a favorite I would have to say punched flowers out of velum. With a little scoring down the petals and layering then adding a pearl they make such a pretty flower. Thanks for your generosity.

I have to say I tend to layer with paper more often than any other method of making flowers. In real life, I love tulips….they mirror my clean and simple style of cardmaking and there are many, many colors.
My favorite is to use die cuts and layer the flowers with a gem or brad in the middle.
Love to layer flowers. Some paper. Some netting or tulle. Painting dryer sheets. Whatever gets me the effect I am going for.

Rolled flowers or die-cut layered flowers are my favorites, but I love making flowers and have tried nearly every technique for making them that I have come across. You are so generous to offer such goodies to one lucky winner…fingers crossed that it will be me.
Paper flowers from dies and/or punches would be my favourite way to create them, Beate…especially when you use a stylus to give them dimension and then layering them. Using felt and Spellbinder dies is another favourite of mine.

I really like the punched flowers, and my favorite flower is the violet. My boys would go out and pick a bouquet for me. I just loved it.

My favorite flower of all time is the iris…but I haven’t figured out a way to make them very easily for a card. So I guess my favorite to make is to punch many layers of tissue paper (like red or pink) from the scallop circle punch, secure them together with a pretty brad, and them scrunch them up individually.
I don’t use too many dimensional flowers due to postage, but when I do, I love to just use two sided paper and roll them. Thanks for a chance to win! Hugs…

I love projects made with the layered hand made flowers. I’ve not yet had the nerve to make my own to use on my project so I purchase premade one until I do. My favorite real flower/s would have to be daisies and wild violets but I adore wild May flowers, white tulips and white roses plus there is something special about summer with pansies and petunias.

as crazy as it sounds, I really love to make zipper flowers. the little teeth give such a fun touch. I find wonderful vintage zippers in area antique stores that have such great age to them. a pearl or rhinestone makes the perfect center, or sometimes a spectacular vintage button. 🙂
I’m trying to teach myself how to make the beautiful flowers everyone is making with the die cuts and stylus tool. Not there yet so I roll flowers with paper. Haven’t figured out the ribbons ones either.
I love to punch several different sizes of same flower shape out of patterned paper. Then I roll each petal under with a skewer. I glue them together and fluff them up.

What a great stash to win! I make flowers in many different ways but I think I like the looks of stamping Heartfelt Creations flowers and then running them through the die cutting machine. I also like using the different die cuts for the flowers. Also usinsg crinoline, netting, etc. with a die cut flower is b eautiful! There are so many ways to make a beautiful flower!

Oh Wow that is a lot of questions 🙂 I think flowers are my favorite thing to make in cardmaking, I love layering flowers and dimension, I have just started doing the rolled so they may become a favorite, not sure I like my results yet. I use paper with my flowers, trying to think if I have used ribbon before? There is nothing prettier than a farm of sunflowers, just seeing rows of them and how they follow the sun is so cool!

Hi Beate! What a sweet giveaway! I love to make my own flowers! I have made them mostly with the layered technique where I punch the flower shape, wet and scrunch them and then layer them together. I am new to this and they are not nearly as pretty as the tutorials but working on it. I have been dying to try some of the rolled flowers, but have not had a chance yet. I have saved every flower tutorial I can get my hands on so I can try them all 🙂 I don’t own any flower dies as of yet, but I am coveting the new spiral flower by SB! My favorite way to do make flowers is to fussy cut or stamp and fussy cut flowers from patterned paper and layer them. I like to add dimension to the petals by burnishing them on a mouse pad with the end of a pen.

Nice embossing folders! My favorite flower creation is stamping a flower design flat (with leaves) and then adding punched flowers or quilled flowers on top.

I use a lot of punched flowers on my cards because they mail easily. At Christmas time I couldn’t get the Pointsettia die I wanted so I used Silk ones on my cards, turned out beautiful! My very favorite flowers are lilacs which will soon bloom here in the north central USA.
I use the “mothers day flower” cartridge for the cricut machine that cuts em out on paper, then i layer them to build em up, and use glue dots to attach them to my birthday cards! oh and of course i have to add a rhinestone brad to the middle of the flower as well…BLING BLING BLING!!

I love your blog and your tutorials. I looked at your review for Perfect Layers and loved it so much that I ordered them. As for flowers, my favorites can be found predominately in Japan but also along the banks of the rivers in DC and Philly — cherry blossoms. Next would come Tea roses, peonies, irises, lilacs — so many beautiful flowers, esp the ones you can cut and take in the house to enjoy. … and I find it hard to narrow down crafting flowers, as well.
I love to figure out how to create new flowers from punches and have done classes to motivate others to see their punches in a new way, cutting and layering.

I’m not too good at coloring and shading so my favorite way to make flowers is by stamping an image several times and then cutting and layering. Sometimes, I use a piece of material that is printed with flowers and I cut and layer those. Thanks for giving us a chance to get these great items!

My favorite flowers to make are tulips using the wings from the bird punch they are sooo easy and they look like you have spent hours…and tulips are one on my favorite flowers they are sure sign that winter is over and Spring has arrived
My favourite way of making flowers depends on the day of the week, how ‘creative’ I’m feeling and what type of project I’m working on. If it’s something simple, I’ll use a straightforward flower punch or die and layer it up a few times to make something basic but still interesting. If it’s a more intricate project I will turn to some sort of notion (ribbon, lace, fabric, etc.) and my Glubers every time. No two flowers come out the same, just the way Mother Nature intended it.
My favourite flower is all of them, especially after a long hard winter!

I’m not sure what my favorite method would be. I think the one that I do most often is to layer silk or paper flowers onto each other, use a brad or bling in the center, but I do love making rolled flowers from a circle cut into a spiral. There are so many different ways to make flowers and I seem to really like them all.

Thank you for the chance to win a great set of supplies! I love incorporating flowers in my projects and usually use punches, dies or a combination of the two and layer them. Sometimes they’re rolled/sometimes not! Many times they’re stamped and colored with Copics. All depends on my project…and my mood!

I’ve made various types of paper and rolled flowers, but I’m addicted to the chipboard these days after seeing a tutorial from Melissa Phillips! Hi Beate I like making my own Flowers out of Cardstock, Fabric, Tissue Paper. Just about anything that I can think of to use. I roll them spray them with glimmer mist. Ink them. One of my favorite Flowers is a Lillac. They smell so good. But I really like all flowers.

I love all flowers, paper, fabric, felt! I like tearing, water sprtzing and forming scraps of paper into flowers. They end up often having the most character & are life-like. I love layering punched shapes or die cut flowers. I am dying to get my hands on one of the rolled rose dies! Roses, lilies, poppies, daisies & dogwood flowers are some of my real life fav’s. Thank you Beate, for your generosity! Yet another amazing candy. My local craftstore sells the most beautiful flowers, design by the owner and manufacured especially for them. I love these flowers and I have a huge box full. If I don’t use these fanatstic flowers I punch shapes which I fold and scrunch and twist and turn. Sometimes more in “2D” other times in propper 3D. Sometimes I make fantasy flowers, other times I make more real looking flowers – the joys of papercrafting!

My Favorite flowers are Hydrangeas and Gardenias. I love to make flowers either with felt or flannel fabric that have scrumptious designs on them (not for babies anymore), I make them with my Big Shot and turn them into either brooches or hairpin, or I use them in the smaller version to decorate the altered wood houses that I do. Oh my, I love all flowers but orchids are my favorite. I also like several methods for making them. I stamp, layer, roll and die cut. At one time I even tried molding them. Flowers are like God’s grace, always beautiful and uplifting and you can never get enough.

Right now I am so into making flowers using my Cricut and SCAL2, lots of fun and different styles, layering them and adding pop dots in between works really well too! 🙂 I have also made a few fabric flowers (make sure the fabric has rayon or polyester in it), cutting out scalloped circles, many sizes, holding to a candle flame to melt the edges, they curl like rose petals when done properly as the rayon or polyester melts–be careful!!!, layer them, stitch the centers together, add a center button and a pin back and whala a beautiful little broach to dress up a sweater or jacket. Cute!

If I am to use flowers on my cards I usually purchase them already made, but I have cut some from my cricut and then ran them through my cuddle bug to emboss them to give them definition. My favorite flow in real life is the Gerber Daisy (in pink of course)!

I love making my own flowers! Fabrics, crenolines, felts – paper I loved the ‘rolled’ flowers and layering as well. I’m always looking for new ways to make them! Spring is the best time to get them going again.

Wow Beate quite the generous amount blog candy thank you.. i like to die cut , punch or hand cut several layers of cs and then crumple then up attach the laters with brads, score tape etc. Then uncrumpl and fuss a bit until I get the look I want. Fun right have a great day! TFS 🙂

I love creating my own flowers. I think when making a card that also means making most of your own embelishments. So I have several flowerpunches. I like to layer them and them form them into shape. I also love the rose die that you can roll.
My favorite real flower is a English white rose that has this beautiful smell.
What a stash! I love layering flowers – but I like to emboss them, either in an embossing folder or turning them over and running my round dot maker over them and then layering in different sizes and colours.
I do like the “Prima” look on flowers.
My favourite real flower is Freesia. I love how they cascade and their fragrance is wonderful.
