Hi there! Sorry I am so quiet lately. Another book series has me in it’s grip. I have to stop reading once this one is over and get back in my stamping groove.

It’s my turn to share on the Spellbinders blog today. This week is all about techniques and I used the new Hexagon dies to create a quilted background. I hope you have time to check out the entire photo tutorial.

Thanks so much for looking! Have a wonderful day!
Hugs and smiles

  1. Another beauty, Beate. You go finish reading your book girl! You work so hard on your blog, you deserve some me time xx

  2. I totally understand getting lost in a book or book series as it were. I’m an avid reader and never even turn on the TV (I’m not sure I even know how to turn it on. LOL) I love my paper crafting too so I’ve found a way to do both at the same time. Audiobooks! I have a subscription to audible.com so it also keeps them affordable. This is my happy place listing to a book and paper crafting at the same time! BTW everything you do is awesome! I’ve never seen a project of yours I haven’t liked. Can’t say the same of all of mine. lol

  3. Your card is so stunningly gorgeous, Beate!! I love, love the patchwork quilt technique!! Now I can’t wait to get the Spellbinders Hexagons!! And I totally understand how you can get lost in a book…reading ties with crafting for my favorite things to do!! I never go anywhere without a book…even if I just sneak in a page or two here and there, I’m happy 🙂 Enjoy the book series!!

  5. It’s so spooky because as your post came up on my email, I’m sat at my desk making a sewing card for a swap! I’ve been over to see what you’ve made and it’s gorgeous (no surprise there!). I absolutely love the patchwork background – it must have taken forever! Strikes me that you deserve a rest after making your piece, so get back and READ girl!!
